GHK M4 GBBR - available after Chinese New Year

Recommended Posts

Admitted I have not read the entire thread so please bear with me or refer to a page number please....

Buying a new GHK M4, the version where they state "New HOP-UP system, ver 6.0 hammer, and stable bolt lock" ETC ETC ETC

Besides another hopup rubber (for examble MapleLeaf Diamond 70)

what else is needed to make it skirmishable and sustainable

Does the hopup itself need any attention or anything else?

I intend to use G&G .28 and green gas with the G5 magazines

I have read that it need some 'wear-in to run effeciently

but what can I except to wear out in the beginning?

Yes I am an old WE M4 user but have heard a lot of good about the GHK

but as with all other GBB/R there is a difference between the shops describtion

and the users experience after 500 shots....

Which setup are you running and what will you recommend?

I'm just running it as it is with a 1j nozzle.

This isn't a we. Ghk runs strong out of the box.

You should always run it once, see what lacks, then go from there.

Don't upgraded asap without testing it stock is my two cents.

When I got my wes I ran them with just the npas. I had an sbr, wanted a field gun so I got a rat inner and ml bucking.

Ran that till I sold it to fix my truck.

Even with my mk14, I'm running it stock with an npas till something dies. Then I will get an upgrade, I don't do the buy a we and replace everything that everyone does.

At that cost you may as well got a vt, ino or ghk.

Hello thx for the answers.

I'm asking exactly because I don't want to be buying a lot of non-needed stuff at the beginning.

Did that fail back with WE CB HK416 and it just became a very expensive wallhanger.

Ran my WE OB M4 for a year/year-and-a-half with only new barrel and rubber before I had to replace anything.

But did have to do a lot worktime/maintainance for it to run proberly.

I am aware of that GBBR do need a hell of alot more time than ordinary AEG/PTWs and such

but would like to get a somewhat close picture of what I am to expect

especially due to all the good things that are beeing said about the little sweetie piece of toy.

Alot of good was about the WE from start but we all know that that wasn't true

when it was used outside of shopowners and chairsofter backrooms..

The NPAS at what levet of fps range does it go for?

Here in Denmark we are aloud to do 129,9mps outside

and 100mps indside buildiings so as for my PTW and my now former WE
I will proberly get 2 bolts so I simply just change from game to game.

I'm no fan of the npas, if I can get the restrictor disks I would.

I guess I never got a lemon from we, never had a cb gun.

Mine was actually okay AFTER I locktited it together so it couldn't move out of place

Mine somehow striped itself and the oring moved. I tired to fix it and all I did was *fruitcage* up my thumb.

Both bizzle and disc are inconsistent, thus why GHK made a whole new nozzle for the 1J :-). At least my take on it.

Correct me if I'm wrong

but out of the box the GHK M4 goes around 110ms equals rofly 350fps?

How do I get a little more out of it without exceeding 1,69J?

Like the WE OB platform doesn't care about bbweight

is the GHK platform system the same or?

No, OOTB the GHK M4 shoots in my experience, anywhere from 380+, depending on temperature.

I'm not familiar with joules, only FPS :) But if you want over 1.5J the stock one should suffice to be honest. BB weight affects all guns, even if it's a WE.. maybe your experience was hop-up, Weight affects everything. :)

Temp is about 75* in mabasement. It finally shoots under 350-+ fps

It took about 2000 rounds to get the 1j nozzle to work even after everything samoon said to do to the nozzle to see if it functions right.

Now that my cqc site is closed I have no need for the headache I went through. Now I'm going to build a 14.5 upper with a standard nozzle for the fields where the fps limit is 400.

I'm curious as to what the fps is gonna be with the high velocity nozzle and a 10.5" barrel.

Samoon says about 460 fps but I think that's with a 14.5" barrel. I think it would put me over the limit of 400.

While I don't have a GHK M4(yet) I do have an AK and a Hephaestus T21.

Now I have the following experience with both guns: after a few magazines the hop-up weakens for some reason and I have to increase it. The hop up does not move out of place and I use propane/CO2 so the chance of getting any kind of lubricant on the hop up rubber is low. Still this happens to both of my guns and I also tried other rubbers, same thing happens. Maybe the rubbers get frozen from the gas?

Anyone else have similar experiences?

I have not, I only have about 3k through mine and the 1j nozzle finally reads around 1j.

It's more like 1.22-1.3 so not really a 1j nozzle.

As for the hop unit have you checked to see if it is actually loosening? Ie try using a marker line and see if its moving.

I know temp affects the bucking so on a cold dry day you may need more pressure than a hot humid day.

I'm in no need of a 1j nozzle so I kinda want to try the HV nozzle to see what I get. I can't go over 400 so I may just use the 1j in a 14.5 and a standard in a sbr barrel.

With my 10.5" I get effective 250' with a .2 in a fairly non windy environment. The tree branches are moving but the houses block a bit of wind.

I used to get .41g bbs in white easy but that place closed down.

Now I'm on the search for a good .3+ bb.
