DeltaZero
God damn it!
bankz5152
Hopefully WE will jump the gun then!!
hitmanNo2
It would not surprise me if they had a sneaky FNX in the works,
PureSilver
The tech department of Cybergun reckon it's about 2 years away, and can't stress enough how basic this prototype is...i.e. there is a long road ahead. Two years away? I mean, functionally speaking, all modern GBB pistols function in a very similar fashion, and presumably Cybergun already have the legal agreements in place (otherwise they wouldn't be advertising it) so what takes two years to resolve? Manufacturing issues, I suppose? Still, nice to see they aren't going to rush it; maybe they'll find the time for some extensive QC.
hitmanNo2
Cybergun have a tech department? Pull the other one. They probably just have printer to print off 'I made this' stickers for their OEM models. I would say they are talking balls.
blobface
Yeah 2 years is a hell of a long time these days (unless you're Real Sword), if we wind the clock back 2 years, GBBs were in a different place then, 2 years is enough for WE to jump the gun, for all 3rd parties to make enough parts to perfect it, and probably even TM's.. bankz5152
I absolutley love this pistol. Not sure why I saw it in a TV show once with the DR sight on top and fell in love. it would look doubley awesome with an Osprey can on the front
DeltaZero
I'm the same. Absolutely love it! When it finally gets released I will be in the Pre-order queue! Already have the Osprey Silencer ready for it! Wanted to get one before they either become discontinued or sell out!
Inari
Yup, they do indeed. Who do you think fixes all of their returns? They are responsible for testing the new products as they come in, and working out what's needed in the manufacturing process of others e.g. taking feedback from certain areas, changing materials due to problems etc. I had a good long chat with the lad about the pistol, and although he point blank refused to tell me who was making it (and I stopped pressing...he was getting annoyed at me), we got to discuss some nice points on it. The rear sight will be RS compatible, so mounting the micro-red dot rear sight will be possible. The aim is to completely eliminate outer barrel wobble from the inner barrel assembly, as that's one thing that gets mentioned to them a lot. They don't know whether they'll keep the fill valve where it is, or move it to a more traditional place. Keeping it there allows for easier/quicker filling, but this is where it was stressed again how early this prototype is. He reckoned two years before we see it, and I'd be inclined to believe him...he has no reason to lie. Now he could be completely wrong and it could come out earlier, in which case happy days! PureSilver
Forgive me - where is the fill-valve, if not at the bottom of the magazine? If they've found somewhere intelligent to put it where it isn't exposed to the elements while in the gun, more power to them!
DrAlexanderTobacco
Maybe like WA-pattern magazines, just below the hammer valve?
Inari
Maybe like WA-pattern magazines, just below the hammer valve? Got it in one. Sorry I thought pictures had shown that - didn't want to be repeating old info as new stuff.
Roland1014
I know it's a prototype, but I came a little.
tyguy94920
That finish on the barrel makes me cringe at the moment, I hope it gets better. Also the gap between the slide and frame could be better I'm really looking forward to a steel kit and co2 mags for this, that will be da'bomb
PureSilver
Plenty about it's rough - the flash down the centre of the frame is pretty bad, too - but it is only a prototype. Oddly enough the slide-frame gap on the real thing looks absolutely abyssal as well.
NonEx
Am I the only one who notices that the slide front edge is protruding from the edge of the frame ? Or is that as per the RS?
tyguy94920
Here's a zoomed in pic of mine from earlier, I don't see how you say that gap is abysmal as it's a lot better than most of the poly guns out there And no, the slide edge isn't nearly as pronounced on the RS But again, it's still a prototype, doesn't mean we can't criticize it though
tyguy94920
Sorry, image link broke
hitmanNo2
Did it come from the factory with that front sight like that? It looks raised with grass showing through underneath.
blobface
Yeah it does look a bit dodge, but IIRC the M&P9 seem to have similar issue with the sight gaps.
tyguy94920
Did it come from the factory with that front sight like that? It looks raised with grass showing through underneath. Yeah, the rear sight is like that too. Something about the design of the sights on the Tactical cause they're all like that
hitmanNo2
Strange. You pay so much for those, I didn't expect that.
PureSilver
Here's a zoomed in pic of mine from earlier, I don't see how you say that gap is abysmal Abyssal, not abysmal. Yours seems OK, but I've seen some pretty dodgy ones in the past:
NeoVeNoM
Yup, they do indeed. Who do you think fixes all of their returns? Anything CG says I take with a huge bag of salt.
