Hello members,

some little progres on my project.

The barrel group is put aside at this moment,  because i am awaiting for some parts,  and tools.

-Tools,  to make the  "DD" marking's in the barrel

-Part's, A metal hop hup unit, and a bucking from Gunfire.

Meanwhile i started to make a steel receiver extension, i decided to make the comercial variant, due to the multiple stock positions.

the tube is made out of steel pipe, i wil make it thicker and heavier than the original one.

this to restore the balance, due to the heavier barrel group&Ris

here the first progress the threated tube

the block with the stock position holes, was hard-soldered to the tube, and the piece was sand blasted

i also made marking's on top to see the position of the stock

Hello members the latest progress om my project

I wanted to experiment a little with colors, and techniques

so i started with purchasing some fosco colors.

I spray- painted al the receiver extension part's in an other color, for a more realistic appearance

and then buffed them,  with a fine abbrasive, and scotch brite,  to give them a "weared off look"

Awesome, but you probably knew that already.  If I had your skills I'd make a Surefire FH556-RC-12x28 flash hider and SOCOM556-RC suppressor, since they don't exist in airsoft form yet and seem to be replacing the NT4 on newer USSOCOM CQBRs.

Ye, that will be a nice touch. :)

Can I have one for me as well, please? B)

Interesting, what's your information source

I don't believe there's any official documentation; my understanding of the most current setup is based on photos, secondhand knowledge and anecdotes.  Just as the WMX200, LA-5A/PEQ, and EXPS3-2 have largely replaced the M3X, AN/PEQ-15 and 553, most recent photos of CQBRs in use have the distinctive long four-pronged FH or 556RC can.  A few examples:
