TheFull9
More a question than an error or suggestion. For quite a few years now I've not seen anyone here manage to quote a stack of pictures from a post directly before their own (or in very close proximity) and I'd put that down to the care put in to posts by most of the members here. Cropped up a few times more recently though and it just eats up huge swathes of a page and no it certainly won't kill anyone having to scroll through the set of images they've just seen a second time but it's hardly a difficult job for people to just not do it in the first place and waste the time (however small that may be) of every single other person who reads that thread. Is there a hard and fast rule, just a polite suggestion not to.. not sure on the policy? Don't want to go pressing report at an inappropriate juncture.
Arnie
My memory is vague (and somewhat swiss-cheesed sometimes). I seem to remember we discussed this at some point and agreed with your suggestion. I think that we also had a facility to remove images from quotes automatically, but didn't turn it on to allow people to re-quote safely on the odd occasion it was needed. I agree though it's a reasonable things to add to policy. Thoughts from anyone else?
ED-SKaR
I'm pretty sure that the tags automatically change to tags when a post is quoted... or is that a setting I have on?

ED-SKaR
Well looks like I was mistaken then, it must be another forum that does that.... or I just do it automatically and havn't realised...
Arnie
Hmm doesn't appear to be a feature of the board any more. I was sure it used to do it. I can add this though: http://community.invisionpower.com/files/file/5524-tng34-quoted-images-as-links-free/

TheFull9
Seems like the best all round solution, lets people who do specifically want to quote a picture from further back still do so while most likely cutting out the majority of excess/too-soon repetition.
PureSilver
I was going to suggest this too, glad to see I'm not the only one! Turning quoted images into links automatically but allowing them to be turned back manually resolves the problem nicely.
Arnie
Okay new addon installed. It doesn't change any post content, just the way things are displayed. What do you guys think? I'll have to check the mobile version of the site too.
Arnie
Checked. Mobile theme works
BigAl
Nice one, always bugs me when someone quotes pictures from preceding post. Thought it was against rules already, still problem solved!
