Argoms
Hi, was just wondering if anyone knows where I can find a v3 gearbox shell with a quick change spring guide in the UK? APS seems to only sell in the USA.
steelfallenangel
Find out however the local distributor for Umarex is. Contact them about getting a replacement gearbox for a G36. If I'm right they should supply you with a S&T G36 V3 gearbox shell that is quick change designed.
LordElpus
Failing that RSOV and I think EhobbyAsia do the Army Force v3 shell with quick spring change.

Im going space
Yeah, not cheap, but it was only a hop unit and rubber.
ollie_ty
Do not use the Umarex one, the front Is non standard to fit around their microswitch trigger.
steelfallenangel
Hmm good point. Have you tried contacting the Asian branch of APS directly? I've done something like this a few times (Ares and VFC) and been met with average success.
Argoms
Looking at the prices for shipping, I think I'd rather just wait until I visit the USA this summer. Do not use the Umarex one, the front Is non standard to fit around their microswitch trigger. How non-standard is it?
ollie_ty
Non standard enough that you cant fit ANY Standard V3 Trigger bits.(This was my experience with my own G36..)
Argoms
Does that mean I'm stuck with a microswitch trigger, or does it mean that I can't fit it into my lower receiver?
ollie_ty
It means if you get an umarex gearbox, you'll have to have the microswitch trigger. Just get a standard v3 and cut the QD channel in if you need one that much.
Argoms
I don't really mind microswitch triggers (I'm not a fan of active breaking[sic]). Will probably just cut the QD channel though since nothing seems to be available.
steelfallenangel
You mean that it wouldn't be a drop in fit for alternate trigger assemblies right? Since I've seen people run BTC Chimera in Umarex G36s before. That you'd have to shave away material to custom fit the new trigger.
