GardenBoy
Hi, I have ESS Profile Goggles and run this mask: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=28_548_545&products_id=9430 I am looking to get a Mich 2001: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=28_548_556&products_id=9522 What I am wondering is if I can actually put the helmet's chin straps on even with the mesh mask on. Would it work? Thanks.
PMO Gordo
Yes, you can. I've seen people running that set up before. However, you will not be able to put the chip strap on your chin. Instead, you will be wearing it under your throat. Personally, I run a modified mesh mask which stops right at the chin, so that I can put the chin strap on my chin. I also have a custom attachment system which allows me to put on / take off my mask easily. For ear protection, I used to run Comtac replicas, but I use helmet side armor now. GardenBoy
So did those people put the helmet on first (with the chin straps under their throat), then the mesh mask, and then their goggles?
PMO Gordo
No, I saw them wear it in this order: mask - helmet - goggles.
-MOOSE-
That's should work. The mask seems quite large though, you might have to look into longer chin straps for your helmet. I have a similar set up with my ESS goggles and a much smaller mesh face mask, and a MICH2001. It works fairly well, it offers a lot of good protection. I have my mesh mask attached to the goggles so I put on my helmet and have the goggles on my helmet, then I just put the goggles on and I've got the face mask right there without any problems.
