scorch
What does this mean for all the WE Europe products that are WE branded? Batteries, gas and the like?
Habakure
I honestly didn't see this coming. Anyone know the reason why WETTI aren't happy with WE europe's demands? Or is it that WE Europe were put in an impossible situation by WETTI? That statement above just says one partner couldn't agree with another, but not what it couldn't agree on. Stuey
Lol, this pretty much puts WE Europe *suitcase* out of luck. Bunch of amateurs. What are they going to do now, try and sell other stuff like PTS have after the Magpul split?
Habakure
Bit harsh to call them amateurs, or do you knowing something, that would make you think, they're unprofessional (which is by definition, an amateur)? This could be a case of WETTI wanting to do it themselves (get rid of the competition, it's their product so why not), or that WETTI asked for too much percentage from each sale. Or WE Europe wanted to start making there own aeg/gbb under the WETTI name. Who knows.
hitmanNo2
No word from WE Europe yet?
Habakure
Can't seem to find a Facebook page for them. Maybe someone on here is an employee or knows more?

DrAlexanderTobacco
Like most things in life, this probably comes down to money. I wonder what sort of cut WE Int. were taking for letting WE Europe use their branding etc.
DeltaZero
Dear Friend's Excellent news for WE AIRSOFT EUROPE and more importantly our valued customers - In a nutshell more European factory controlled stock and better service. Fortunately for WE AIRSOFT EUROPE we severed any ties last SEPTEMBER with WETTI due to their lack of professionalism, commitment, loyalty and service. Subsequently the market has benefited from quality controlled stock with a unprecedented array of support goods carrying all the legal UK and EUROPEAN certification. This gives the retailer peace of mind and consumer value for money. IMPORTANT - Please note WETTI are NOT the FACTORY, They are not the MANUFACTURE of WE goods and NEVER have been. So we are quite bemused over there recent statement. If there is any doubt WE AIRSOFT EUROPE are pleased announce our latest shipment of dedicated European stock with unique quality controlled features such as CE & RoHS applied markings, and QC FACTORY applied sticker. Furthermore WE AIRSOFT EUROPE are working on new and exciting range of products to be released soon. So keep an eye out guys! WE AIRSOFT EUROPE hope this statement quashes any uncertainty and please note its business as usual. Have a great day! WE AIRSOFT EUROPE WE Europe just posted this to facebook. Not entirely sure what to think now!
Habakure
Yeah, doesn't say anything on there. Maybe they're keeping quiet till they've had time to look through the small print? Edit:- couldn't see that on their Facebook page. Is this another case or star/ares/S&T?
Stuey
You must have just missed it! Apparently Europe split ties with TTI ages ago...
hitmanNo2
So pretty much we'll get 'this is the real story' from WETTI. And 'no, this is the real story' from WE Europe. Awesome Also, thumbs up to whoever came up with the acronym WETTI. Makes me smirk every time I read it or say it in my head lol.
Rob15
It's like STAR/ARES all over again, every OEM seems to have an OEM doing the actual work and no one really knows who is designing or manufacturing the products except the manufacturers/wholesalers.
Squad 701
I haven't heard much more about this at the moment, but I do know a lot of distributors risk confiscation taking items into Europe without the official CE stamp on it ! I don't know if that applies to AEGs only though ???
cazboab
Practically speaking no airsoft gun requires a CE mark, but they do need to be ROHS compliant.
Squad 701
Latest info from WE Airsoft Europe : Dear Friend's Excellent news for WE AIRSOFT EUROPE and more importantly our valued customers - In a nutshell more European factory controlled stock and better service. 1st Commando
WE Airsoft Europe ended ties with TTI ages ago and started working directly with WE Model Co .Those of us that knew were asked to keep the peace in respect of TTI and James Chan (Sales manager for TTI) . The WE logo and branding belong to WE Europe for the European region as it was granted to them by the factory the same way it was granted to WETTI for Hong Kong . Once WE Europe started working directly with Taiwan , WETTI started making minor attacks on WE Europe , starting with mailing the customer list of WE Europe . Now they have made this statement it has opened the flood gates for WE Europe and the other distributors (of which there area few) to be able to speak openly about WETTI and it's relationship with the factory . This was a bit of a silly move by TTI as I cannot see it sitting well with the factory as they are very unlikely to be happy with dissidence within it's distribution network
Habakure
Pretty (squad 701) sure that exact same quite, is quoted a couple of posts above yours? What I don't get is why WE Europe would have to deal with WETTI if they're not the manufacturer? Unless WETTI use to have some say with the manufacturer and it's dealings around the world. It's official middle man so to speak (WETTI being the middle man for the oem).
1st Commando
WETTI had direct ties (and at the moment still do to an extent ) , When WE Europe first started their contact was through TTI who advertised themselves as the factory . When some issues came to light regarding delivery of large quantities of stock , WE europe discovered that WETTI were in actual fact NOT WE Airsoft and they were in actual fact a distributor based in Hong Kong . WE Europe then made contact with WE Model and visited the factory to meet with the CEO and directors who then set up a direct line between europe and Taiwan . WE Europe were granted the European rights to the WE branding by the factory as well as direct control over European stock to include power variations , ROHS testing and branding as well as some model changes . When WETTI learned this they began emailing the client list shared by We Europe during their partnership in an attempt to take some of the customers . Now WETTI have released this statement , it has enabled all of the offcial WE distributors to speak openly about their relationship to the factory which is a good thing
hitmanNo2
Ah. A voice of truth amongst the mud slinging. Cheers 1st Commando. My opinion of James and WETTI has further dropped.
1st Commando
No problem at all . Now that I have Carte Blanche I will update as and when any news comes in
Habakure
So this is all good for European airsofters? Maybe better stock of GBBR's in the near future (I noticed the HK416c is on the WE Europe website)?
