k30dxedle
May want to also check out (or ask more experienced plastic modeling people about) Alclad, which is fairly widely used for natural metal finish on model aircraft. This is what ALC-113 Jet Exhaust looks like on a 1/32 F-4J. (They have some similar colors; gold as well.) Does have some caveats IIRC. I don't know if it's true of current production stuff but similar finishes I read about years ago had to be airbrush-applied and weren't all that durable. I'd ask around. ollie_ty
Has to be air brush applied, Basecoat normally has to be gloss black and perfectly level, and then the Alclad itself needs to be buffed with a soft cloth to achieve best results.
bankz5152
Ill look into those cheers. I did find this other paint when looking at Fallout prop builds. Called something like 'stevensons super majestic metal overcoat' sounds like its from the 1800's age of exceptionalism... Looks to give almost the perfect final base. Then detailing on top
evansy
That looks awesome. Try posting on the RPF for painting tips. For the eyes you could cast them from resin and polish it. https://www.facebook.com/VolpinProps/photos/a.626749270678434.1073741832.112981562055210/809812695705423/?type=1&theater

L4byr1nth
I would black undercoat, and work my way up from dark grey through the dark gunmetal colours. I'd then give it a couple of washes (you may try dips as it is so big!), before a clearcoat mixed with yellow to get the gold effect. And then the weathering would begin Ben.
