STUNTMAN
On the last 26th and 27th of July, ANA (Associação Nacional de Airsoft), had their first National Game. This happened at a private venue in Aveiras de Cima-Portugal.Many players enrolled on this adventure, with the Hibrid theme, around 140 players on two hibrid factions, Lusitanica Salamandridae and Gallaica Salamandridae. As many as 15 played as the Humans in a third faction (CDT) designed to play MilSim missions that started the night before the rest of the players. With lots of game props, military vehicles, simulated military FOB and acting extras, on this extraordinary venue the "ambiance" was set to provide an awesome Airsoft experience.SALAMANDRA CORPORATION is the game. Next year this game will be an International event.Watch out for ANA.

Azubi
It's always good to see more of this type of gameplay going on. The inclusion of the small third faction sounds like it could have been interesting. Hats off to the organisers.
Indy79
Sorry to be digging up this thread but I just joined this forum. Me and my teammates played the 3rd faction on this game and I think the organisers deserve to have some public feedback here. Salamandra Is the most amazing game we ever played... the game began for us in a new moon night at 11pm in the back of a jeep rolling wild on a dirt road where we never been before. Ligts out and an order from the faction leader: get out and wait for instructions! After that: miles and miles of dark woods, several recon and sabotage missions... at one of the enemies bases we could hear shouts, singing and shots. Green lasers and spotlights searching the trees where we were... every now and then we could see the light of a jeep cruising some distant road, searching for us... Using the dark of the new moon we were managing to meet the missions given to us. And finally, using the morning fog as cover and joining forces with the WOC team we managed to assault the base and kill the enemy leader. What a great night! The game went on the morning after and part of the afternoon... we finished it exhausted but so happy and fullfield. This game has set the standard for us and we are still waiting and hoping that there will be a "sequel". Here is a small video of the raid on the enemy base: Some pictures here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.304605026387305.1073741842.182418215272654&type=
Azubi
I have to ask, were there people in that camp without eye protection on? The bald guy outside appears to be covering his eyes until told to put them down, and people in the tents appeared to not have their eye protection on in some cases. The bald guy outside appears to be covering his eyes until told to put them down, and people in the tents appeared to not have their eye protection on in some cases. They were sleeping in the tents and weren't expecting an attack. The bald guy was outside taking a leak... he was quite literally caught with the pants down. As soon as we saw that some of them had no safety glasses, we were extra careful. Edited February 25, 2015 by Indy79
Azubi
It may be worthwhile having it incorporated into the rules that eye protection must be worn at all times, even when sleeping. Or making tents 'safe zones' where mags must be removed and guns cleared before entering. I have played games with both systems and it is no great hardship and maintains safety. Those tents were part of the roleplay... and we do have rules stating that eye protection must be worn at all times. But I guess that guy just never imagined that we would be attacking so early in the morning and took the chance. Its not an usual thing among us... not at all.
