cav.
Yeah they run fantastic stock as you would expect really. But I just wanted to squeeze every ounce of performance out of it. The other one is more or less stock and it's running perfectly. I think I might go with a standard M&PL slide next one I build. Sorry for the confusion the Nineball spring kit is for the M&P it's on eagle 6 at the moment. I've only got a G17 Recoil Spring en route (should arrive today all going well). I also forgot to mention I ordered the Nineball Dyna Piston head as there was absolutely no air seal from the original piston head and UAC nozzle. This one seems to have improved air seal and made the blowback snappier. If my Detonator kit is anything to go by you'll be fine. It was a drop in fit. I've heard the same with other Detonator kits too. I think I'll be going with a M&PL slide on my next build so interested to hear your thoughts. Ahhh, I too noticed there is little to no airseal with the stock piston head and UAC nozzle! Is the piston head specific for the M&P or will this do? http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=69_93&products_id=345 Edited June 23, 2015 by cav. DeltaZero
To be honest I didnt think much to the seal between the stock piston head and the stock nozzle either. But the UAC nozzle combo was worse. To be honest even with the new piston head it's not a great seal. But now it means I can add my own o-ring to increase the seal. That nineball dyna head wont work for the M&P as the M&P and more recent TM pistols have a larger bore cylinder (15mm). This is the one I have bought. I can't find them anywhere else with a quick google but I bet they're out there somewhere! http://eagle6.co.uk/shop/catalog/product/view/id/1337/s/laylax-nineball-dyna-piston-head-for-m-p9-hk45-xdm-40-px4-fn5-7-gbb-series/ EDIT: Found them elsewhere http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/nine-ball-wide-dyna-piston-head-for-marui-gbb-pistol-15mm.html#.VYl_yflVhPM http://www.tokyo-model.com.hk/shop/nine-ball-dynapiston-head-wide-for-marui-xdm-px4-hk45-mp-9-fn57-p-11215.html https://impulse101.jp/?product=la-nb-226 Edited June 23, 2015 by DeltaZero

Yea I see this is specifically for the newer models! Nine Ball also has a recoil spring for the M&P, not sure if its 150% though. Ehobby has a 150% spring for the M&P from a brand called SA, never heard of it though :l
DeltaZero
They have a recoil spring for the M&P too? That slipped through my net! Though I have a G17 one on the way so it'll do for now. I see Fire-Support sell them.. I am due to put an order in with them soon, I'll add it on.

DeltaZero
No that's always the case unfortunately.. Annoyingly the G17 recoil spring I have en route is actually coming from Fire-Support so I could've just ordered the proper M&P9 one instead. I think I will email them and ask to return the G17 one and have it replaced with the M&P9 one at the same time as ordering a new barrel.

DeltaZero
Never heard of that company. Interested on how those springs go. I think I'll be finished once I get a recoil spring in there and have a chance to file the hammer parts back.
BioRage
Cav stop upgrading things you don't need
mrsevenstars
I had a "upgrade" hammer spring by SAPH, it ended up being softer than stock so i tossed it. Im not sure if mine was a fluke, im curious to know how the m&p springs are.
DeltaZero
My Glock spring arrived. Im going to chat with fire support tomorrow to send it back and order a M&P one in replacement. Didn't get a chance to play around with the hammer parts again. Something always gets in the way. This time it was my gas mag collection that insists on constantly leaking no matter what i do fun and games!
uscmCorps
Just bought my second (back up) Marui M&P and bought another for a friend. These guns continue to impress me. Out of the box they shoot straight and far. I'm going to get a couple Detonator slides, but I'm kinda nervous to upgrade it. It seems most of the problems arise when people upgrade their guns. DeltaZero
Upgrade the back up first and see how that fairs then make the decision for your main. Personally I don't think you'll have an issue, especially with the weather you guys have over there for the majority of the time. I'm not having an issue with either of my metal slides and it's not been especially hot here yet. Both the Nova and the Detonator have fitted no problems and cycled fine from the start.. I sat there one evening and just cycled the slide (minus the springs, hammer and nozzle) over and over to get it worn in properly but that's not necessarily needed. BioRage
IMO you don't need all the fancy stuff Delta and Cav have, they just go bananas when it comes to upgrades. Get a slide, maybe recoil spring, and go from there..

DeltaZero
Oh no you don't need anything really. If you want a slide just get a slide you don't even need a recoil spring. Just the desire to squeeze every drop of performance out of it that makes me want to upgrade it all. My stock M&P9 + nova slide is running like a champ and has had 3000+ rounds through it since new with no issues so far. Touch wood. EDIT: WHAT AM I THINKING?! ALL THE THINGS MUST BE UPGRADED! uscmCorps
So I know have three Marui M&Ps. A backup for my backup if you will ????. Waiting on some slide sets so I'm doing frame work on all three till that arrives. Anyway, remember how bad the Marui M&P triggers were out of the box and that Japanese blog showing how to remove 1mm of material from the trigger bar to improve the trigger reset? I just removed safeties from the two new ones and discovered that they all come with the trigger bar fix straight out of the box. Pretty cool! If you're curious disassemble your M&P. The old version had a 5mm gap. The new version has a 6mm gap. Thought I'd share this awesomeness.
Habakure
Pphhhhsssssssssstttt. Make it four M&P's. No-one likes uneven numbers and four is better than 3. . .
uscmCorps
Fortunately my paranoia hasn't reached that far when it comes to going to games. That said, I do have 7 RS M&Ps so I clearly do have a M&P problem.
starburst
Sounds like you do, but then the M&P looks and feels great, tempted to get a second keeping one stock (other than removing the safety) and customising the second... Having 7 of the real M&P's is a heavy investment, you must really enjoy shooting them (not that I would know anything about that living in the UK and I imagine even if I moved to the States it would be an absolute impossibility of owning one still). DeltaZero
M&P problem? No such thing! Wish I was able to do the same. I keep saying to myself I'll move out to the states as I've got dual nationality and citizenship but the missus isn't fond of the idea need to ditch her before I do I think! gogojuice
Hey, What was the outcome of the slide not moving forward all the way? I have two stock ones, and they both basically started doing it at the same time. Thanks
