OK, so its finally here!! The Cybergun/VFC FNX-45. #YOLOSWAG   The box is as you’ve all seen, glossy picture with the promotional jargon plastered in the spare space. There is no packaging inside th

paintjob done...

Haha. I actually just played out that BS scenario in my head. Would not be surprised.

Backup plan for manual is to print and make the booklet myself. And an FN branded lock should be easy to get on eBay or something like that.

Registration card I can replicate. But you know, original is the best.

Tritium vials installed! :D

Was really fiddly.

Took out the original insert. Separated the clear from the whites. Cut about 0.75mm off the top of the white conical inserts.

Stretched them out gradually over hex bits up to 1.5mm. Put them over tritium vials.

Had to use a needle file to enlarge the sight holes a bit to fit vials with whites around them.

Inserted whites with tritium vials in them. Pushed into place with a punch, made sure they were fush.

Used a precision glue applicator to drop in some glue from the back hole of the sights to secure them.

In the red dot sight pic you can see the glass of the vials kinda act like fibre optics, so I will have to try and get some black paint in the back hole to stop light from leaking through.

Comparison to A1A Glock sights. The vials are not as bright and sights not as good, but definitely good enough :D

Yeah I think it's the vials that are relatively small. Not much I can do. I actually like retaining much of the white dot for daylight use since the vials are not bright enough then to be useful. So this works for both daytime and night time.

Oh yah, also the whites did get a little bigger since I had to enlarge the sight holes a little and stretch the whites for the vials to fit inside.

Inside joke between me and rusTORK about what I hope I won't find in my OSP suppressor package that is inbound from him :D

I'm getting desperate now :(

I just sent an email to gun YouTuber s00tch that I follow on YouTube hoping maybe he can help me out. At least the FN branded gun lock should be plentiful and easy to find someone willing to part with...

All hands on deck please!

Help me source these items:

1x FNX 45 Tactical Owners Manual (not available via manual request site: http://www.fnhusa.com/support/manuals/ )
1x FN registration card
1x FN pistol cable lock
2x Plastic containers (for backstraps and RMR adapter plates)

Good tip on those containters though. I will try and figure out the dimensions from some screenshots etc.

This video should help you:

OK, a god damn FN branded pistol lock left, manual should be provided by FN USA, as they are required to be able to supply replacements, and then the registration card. Original would be good, but photo copy or scanned copy will work and I can replicate it.

Aaaawh yeah!

rusTORK OSP suppressor and A1A adapter packages ready for pickup :D

Carrot, here I come! :D

Well, I am happy, and slightly concerned. (about gun / gun parts screening through customs...)

Did not even pass customs. Straight across the border to sorting facility and then to me :o

No taxes nor customs duties.

I got both the OSP and OSP thread kit today :D

Ace 1 Arms has released new suppressors and it seems like it is a AAC clone, exactly like the crusader version that I just bought. Now we know the reason why ace 1 arms doesn't want to make a new batch of osprey suppressors anytime soon.

Sorry for OT
