Rhodesian camouflage reproduction

Hello fellows, haven't posted here in a while as I have pretty much stopped playing Airsoft altogether. Non-the-less, I want to share a little something for the reenactors and gear collectors.

As some of you may know, Rhodesian's emblematic brushstroke camouflage (see pics bellow) is rather hard to come by, specially in good conditions and, even if you do get your hands on a good set, it tends to be expensive and using it for Airsoft feels kind of... wasteful let's say. Have some examples:

And so, here is where the Rhodesian camo project comes in.

The idea of making good quality reproductions of this historical pattern was being thrown around among a group of firearm and militaria enthusiast, one of the most knowledgeable members regarding camouflage took the initiative and started recreating the whole pattern repeating the sequence from left to right, using his own Rhodesian gear as a reference and several pictures. After discussing many other details with the community and coming back and forth with some choices, the final project came up to be, make good quality BDU (not some crappy printing) sets in Rhodesian pattern.

They are about to make the first production batch and now they pretty much looking for "pre-orders" to get an idea of the sizes and the demand on each piece. As they trying to see what's the real demand behind the product, they are asking a 1 dollar registration to fill the pre-production sign up. This might look off-putting to some of you, but it is the best way to obtain the data without getting false information from people that isn't really going to buy anything; Remember, this is a small project with no big companies behind back them up.

They do have a one-man operated milsurp shop based on America called "Nugget Enterprise", some of you may know it, it works by batches of product, when he gets enough stuff, everything goes for sale and the website shop is up, the rest of the time you only get a place-holder with some drawing and the name of the shop or, for now, the fill in form for the Rhodesian project.

Here is the shop's site:

Alternatively, you can go to a more permanent site just for the form (in case the shop goes live, which may happen soon):

Just to be clear, I have no commercial relationship with the project other than being a customer or a "backer" (to put it in a way). Just wanted to share this as it is a rare opportunity to get some Brushstroke camo... which would also justify getting an FAL replica, smearing some yellow paint over it and building one unique load out  B).

For those who might be interested, the shop is supposed to go up once again soon. Expect random milsurp at good prices, stock doesn't last very long, though.

Anyone wanting to sign up for the Rhodesian first production batch, use the second link on the original post (https://secure.jotformpro.com/form/50412132394950).

I'd also like to clarify two things: If you sign up and pay that 1 dollar fee, but the project ends up failing, you get your money back (I know it is just one dollar, but thought it was worth mentioning it). There is no estimated price tag at the moment, but it should go for about the same as a uniform made by propper tactical, so between 80-100 for both the pants and the shirt.

Thanks a lot! This is definately interesting for a manly man's impression ;)

Manly is a good way to put it haha. To me, the most badass looking soldiers come from the Rhodesian conflict, the late Soviet invasion in Afghanistan and Vietnam. Those make for really cool looking impressions.

It seems I cannot edit any of the post. I didn't wanted to double-post, but the link to the sign up form has been changed, what I wrote here:

Has been unified on http://www.kommandostore.com/rhodie, this is the permanent link, it shouldn't change in the future. Anyone interested on signing up should use that one.
