Beeingmyself
I'm currently using an old pair of ESS Profile Turbofan goggles but they are due for being relieved of duty in the nearby future. I've tried to fit a Habervison anti gog fan into a pair og Wiley X Spear but than there are no room for my RX inserts The ESS Turbofan I have is the old model with the batteries right by the side of the goggles but the fan itself is pretty noisy. Does anyone know if the newer model with the batteries in the back have that same problem as well? Or does the ESS NVG have more space to fit both the Habervision and a pair of RX inserts And yes I am aware of the RX isnot interchangeable in between the ESS and Wiley X ;7) Or does anybody know of other goggles the have the same opportunities of both fan and inserts? I know that ESS makes a pair of airsoft goggles are they any good and is it possible to buy extra lenses for them? And yet again are they as noisy as the Turbofan?
Leshy
A good anti fog treatment, motorcycle stuff is good as its tested on polycarb. As for RX lenses your optician could get you essilor lenses with optifog coating, but it is pricey at €99 a lens.
ECRRRainman
I own two ess profile turbofans with the battery pack in the rear. They are audible on high but I have to stop and try to listen for them. Personally the whir on high fades away in while in game and I never notice it. On the low setting I have to be in a quiet location to hear them. I have never needed any extra fog treatment on my turbofans (only fogged them once or twice on extreme high humidity summer games) and my wife wears her regular glasses under her turbofans. If you have the cash supposedly the revision fan goggles can move a good bit of air to help prevent fog on interior glasses and revision sells thermal lenses for added fog protection. When my two turbofans eventually die I will be looking into the revision fan goggles myself.
