Lowprofile
SO, I got a cyma m14 yesterday, and it has this issue with it (the chamber has cracked off, part of it anyway) - any recommendations on fixing this, or is it just a case of buying a new part?
renegadecow
You can rebuild it. Drill out the whole thing making an 8.5mm hole and make sure it retains centricity. Get a spare inner barrel and taper the end but also lightly chamfer the inside. Cut it to the length of the original protruding nub plus the thickness of the receiver. Epoxy the brass part on the receiver.
ED-SKaR
It's a feed nozzle. As above, you'll need to cut away the broken material and replace the nozzle with a suitable tube, an inner barrel is pretty much spot on for this. What kind of technical experience do you have? It might get a little fiddly.
Libris
Personally, I'd buy the spare part but like the man above said it's fixable. But... while it sounds straightforward enough it's a tricky fix. You might not have a choice though; have you actually managed to source the relevant spare part?
ED-SKaR
I don't think it IS a seperate part, I thought the m14 had the nozzle cast/moulded as part of the receiver.
Lowprofile
I have another m14 sat here for parts - if it's easier just to pull the other receiver apart I'll do that, thanks guys
