HaZzBaZz
http://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/ares-sr25-m110-sass-tan-airsoft-gun-aeg I am 14 and would obviously pick the two tone option but I really wanted something that would sort of replicate the gun Marcus Luttrel used the "operation red wings" mission. I was wondering if this would be a good gun for me? Also what sort of fps would this be kicking out at stock as my field has 370fps AEG limit and 500fps sniper limit. HaZzBaZz
I know but for future? If not what are your recommendations? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
shmook
I would avoid ares guns. My personal opinion, but it wouldn't touch one. I'd probably avoid a long gun too for my first - harder to swing about. Something M4-sized, G36c maybe to get you up and running
wolfgeorge
Ares uses Proprietary system. Their things break fairly easy and their customer service suck. Better search for another SR25. The best IMO SR25/M110 is the G&P. It it's the most expensive. Wolf
Tw1tch
If you wanted something along the lines of Luttrell you'd be better off with a M16/M4 with a SPR Mk12 Mod 0/1 handguard/rail and appropriate barrel. Can't remember off the top of my head which varient Luttrell's is but I'm drawn to say Mod0.

I agree if your idea and was wondering if you could link some of the parts and a good base M16/M4 that I could upgrade. As I am quite new to the sport I am not too sure on what AEGs are good! TB-Stalker
D-Boys make a MK12 MOD1, which is the rifle you are talking about, but its not great quality: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/d-boys-spr-mk12-mod-1-airsoft-aeg-5281m.html#.VZYzNPlViko It also depends what your budget is as you can spend pretty much whatever you want in airsoft, I just sank over £3k into a MK12 MOD0 for example. If you're going to build yourself a MOD1, either start from scratch, or buy a G&P M4, probably this one: http://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/gp-m4a1-fix-stock-colt-body-airsoft-gun-aeg That way you already have the correct body, the full stock, and the internals, so all you need to do is get the parts for the front end. Got Wood?
I believe it's DBoys but there is someone out there who makes an SPR.
