The Insight Technology WMX200 illuminator

Is the succesor of the welknown M3X flashlight, wich besides is part of the SOPMOD block II accessoriekit

So these days,  the M3X is progresively being replaced by the newer WMX200

INSIGHT TECHNOLOGY , is part of the US L-3 Warrior Systems  among them also ; EOTech maker of the welknown holosights.

they are a big supplier for the US fighting forces.

The WMX200 is  full metal made, has standard an IR function, and the batteries can be replaced without removing the flashlight from the picatinny rail.

Besides that, the illuminator is equiped with a strobe function, this all in contradiction tot the M3X

The WMX200 is available in three versions: a normal handheld, a "fixed rail grabber" , and a "rotanional rail grabber"

This last one, has the advantage that when the light is unfolded , the tail cap button, can be activated,  with the tumb of the hand,  on the foregrip.

For airsofters, who want an up to date build,

lately there was only the Beta Projecs,  wich according to some sources,  was no big deal.!

ELEMENT has released there own version

The Element WMX200,  comes in there new "Tupperware box" , complete with "Insight" stickerset, remote switch, a rubber cap, and a velcropad.

You have the possibility either , to press in the rubber cap, or the included remote switch.

The Element WMX200 is also compatible with there older Dual remote switch.

The Element WMX200 is same as the original, fully metal made, and FDE anodized, they also come in black .

The light is powered by two CR123 -not included- accu's, wich can be entered when the tailcap is unscrewed.

The Element version is the "Fixed rail grabber" but element is working on a "Rotationalmount version"

The functions are also identical to the original WMX200 , but without an enclosed maual this is not realy evident to find out,  fortunately ELEMENT has posted this video

The selector ring can be switched between OFF, IR , and W (Working ?)

After that you can switch between the folowing modes, (with the tailcap, and/or remote switch) DIM light, Momentary, Continue, and Strobe

This functions can better be demonstrated with a video, but because this -for me- is still a pretty new medium, i wil use this one from Element so far :)
