lazybike
Been offered a 4yr old TM 4.3 hi capa, it's in good condition, it's a reasonable price, but the age of it is putting me off, the rest of the guys kit is in good condition, though I've only seen pics of the pistol and haven't seen it firing...what do you guys think? Beeingmyself
properly maintained it should be good to go but then again is he the pistol kind of guy who use the pistol a lot then expect hopup and other minor parts to be wearn down and up for a few new bits but no utterly but for the rest of the gun
Got Wood?
What price? Thing with GBB weapons is that over time parts that integrate together wear out, and start dropping that integration. Despite the amount of care. Best would be a photo of the frame and slide. Top of the frame, underneath of the slide. To check and see how work out edges are
lazybike
It's about a 35% saving against a new one...I think I'll ask him for some more pictures to show how worn it is, I'm happy to replace the bucking etc, but don't want to be buying a slide and frame at the moment I'm leaning towards getting a new one... Got Wood?
For 35% off you're going to end up regretting it. I wouldn't buy anything that old for less than 70% off at least!
Beeingmyself
Agree with the above. Unless it has some pretty upgraded parts installed I would also go for the new gun
DeltaZero
Likewise. Might as well go new and you'll have piece of mind!
lazybike
Ok....Cheers guys
ED-SKaR
A second hand gun in brand new condition had better have 30% off. luddy ell, the price of the hicappa new has gone up a fair amount in the last four years, he's probably selling it for roughly what he bought it for. BigAl
4 years lol, I have some GBB’s from the late 80’s /early 90’s and there still going strong. A 4 year old Hi Capa should be fine if its not been abused.
ruvon
When I owned my 4.3, I used it all the time. Damning the torpedo's, I even used it on propane. I had it for about 3 years when a guy on my team bought one of the silver ones. We put them head to head on a chrono and his new one was getting the same fps as my used and abused one. Never had any problems with mine.
Dentonboy
I have a NBB TM Desert Eagle still working and I bought that in 1993...I have a GBB TM M92F that I bought in 2007, still going strong...a NBB Mk.23 SOCOM bought in 2007, yep, you guessed it, still going strong. TM pistols rule.
