aac
I want to share my first impressions of this SureFire M720V RAID weaponlight replica from ELEMENT with yours, it's one of my latest assets The original SureFire M720V RAID, Is a pretty sophisticated illuminator, with both IR and visible light modes, you can chack im out here The most important features are: Easy switching between IR, and Visible mode, without use of filters, turning bezel rings, or "clicking combinations" QD mount Batteries can be replaced without dissasembling the light of the gun. Military use As far as i know, the M720V's are not standard issued to any unit , you see them rather sporadic. Nevertheless, on this rare photo of a CIA GRS (Global Response Staff) team, it appears that al members are running a M720V light, Problably the M720's wore purchased at team or unit level ? Below some random photo's of M720V users, you see some US SOF operators, witch most likely have purchased them personally, its remarkable that the M720V appears to be popular amongst Russian SOF , a hint for the AK players ............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................ The Element M720V RAID replica Of coarse the Chinese manufacturer Element , has made once again a replica of this tactical illuminator This Element M720V comes in the well-known plastic bag, a remote switch is included, CR123 batteries not. When we take a closer look at the flashlight , we find a rigid plastic housing, with a rigid metal QD system, and a rigid metal bezel. Here on the leftside we see the selector switch, for the visible light settings, deze switches are made out of plastic, and do feel a bit fragile, Notice the SureFire markings ! HIGH (bright light) LOW (dimmed light) FLAHLT (momentary mode) STROBE (strobe modus) Check this Element video to see the functions demonstrated On the right side we see the IR settings , but these are dummy only the swith is fixed, this Element M720V has NO WORKING IR FUNCTION On top we can see the QD mechanism, this is very decent and rigid (full metal) At the bottom side whe have -in the middle- de pressure switch (of the light itself) this is made watertight, we also see the plastic latch of the battery cover In front, in the metal bezel , the CREE XRE Q5 led, witch should guarantee 200 lumens of blinding light, nevertheless its a pretty bright flashlight ! Here we take a closer look at the QD system, this is the opened position SureFire markings -as usual- subdued with a marker, can be easily made visible with some nail polish remover or similar agent. De supplied remote pad, with two pressure switches, and a metal connector . The remote pad can be slided over a picatinny rail. You can also see the complete IMGUR- photoalbum overhere ............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................. Pros & Con's + Acurate replica with SureFire markings - Plastic body + batteries can be replaced without disassembling the light - CR123 batteries not included + QD system - pretty heavy and bulky design + Easy to use, switches - fragile plastic buttons and battery cap + Strobe function - price + rigid design - no IR function + remote pad included Available at Airsoftpeak in black (free shipping) A FDE / TAN version is announced but it appears he's not yet available ? .............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
