Stratos BBU series

Recommended Posts

Hi, i introduced Mjolnir last year but it turned out to have a little bit better than Stark's 2015 Glock BBUs.

So i changed everything and made its performance double.

I name my BBUs after their design principles.

Merlin: CFD designed inner shape to increase flow speed.

Aurora: Simple design but massive inner volume

Mjolnir: Larger bore and heavy piston(brass~tungsten)

Stratos: Magic

I finished development of Stratos BBU for Glock, and for others are in development(1911,P226,USP and so on..)

So... behold.

It is rendering shot of Stratos for Glock.

Because of its magical structure, it has 15.5mm bore and over 30mm stroke in same outer dimension with Tm original.

(Tm original glock BBU has 13.5mm x 21mm size cylinder)

You won't need Co2 mag to run steel slide and can feel hard recoil.

And there is realistic feature.

Rear cap is separated part, and you can see there is reinforcement metal just like real one.

I opened pre order of it.

Price is 69.99USD(pre order only).

pre order customer would get some extra router and carbon decoration.

This can be installed on every semi-auto, non-RMR Glock from Marui/KJ.

It is impossible to fit it into Stark but WE might can with some parts changes(not guarantee).

This is link to pre order page.

Please ask questions and i'll provide more information except patent related matters.

Best scenario is some large airsoft company uses this design under my license.

But i have to show you and them how good Stratos is.

Thanks for read.

Kim.

I got quite an old KJ works based Guarder customs steel G22, do you think this would work with it?

All KJ Glock are based on TM's G26 design. It probably fit.

Well this is awesome. Can't wait for the USP - KSC/KWA? Or TM?

KSC/KWA. As TM did not release USP full size model, and their BBU is better than KSC/KWA USP for now.

Is the merlin still available? Or will the stratos system be supirior ?

Yes Stratos is better than Merlin.

Also no steel slide for tm yet so not much point in a reinforced bbu

Sorry i don't understand :(

So if I ran one of these with CO2 and a steel slide it will give some pretty brutal recoil huh

Green gas+ steel slide was enough to wreck original TM frame and other internals.

You'll need urethane damper and many reinforced parts to prevent it.

I'd start worrying about the frame at that point.

Urethane damper + Guarder frame will last if you use 134a~green gas.

Hey Volante, any chance you could produce a marui compatable 1911 lower frame that can take kj co2 mags, would be utter amazing if you could, no one else is making one and it would sell really well IMO, even 6061 would suffice.

Or a marui 1911 magazine that would be strong anuff to take a co2 charge from those paintball co2 canisters, kinda like develhunters ghk co2 magazine mod.

I'm sorry but that's direct opposite thing from i want to do.

I develops high performance BBU because i don't want to use Co2 to run steel slide.

Original BBU with high pressure gas(co2) -> needs harder springs -> reinforce all internals -> expensive, bothering.

better BBU with lower pressure gas -> soft original spring -> only recoil guide need reinforcement -> cheaper, easier to use and kicks better.

If you use aluminium kit with Stratos, you won't need Co2 even in winter.

Will this unit negatively affect gas efficiency?I'm mostly concerned about the 1911, as it has a tiny gas reservoir.

As Stratos has long cylinder, it would use but more gas. But it makes you 1911 to lock slide in very low temp.

And efficiency is enough to dump single mag.

Volante, I assume that your products are low batch runs?

I'd like to acquire your BBU for 1911, but that seems not possible at the moment, right?

Glock is on the list too, so I might preorder if you indeed do produce in small batches.

Thanks

My last products are nearly all CNC made and had to be low batch.

But as Glock and 1911s are very popular, i'm making mold for mass production.

But i'll use high grade material and seals to make it last longer.

I'm assuming this would trash the stock plastic slide pretty quickly?

Yes it would.

But if you use rubber damper on recoil guide and 134a gas, plastic slide would survive.

Oh. Ill beneeding meu style then.

Anyway, Volante, what is your opinion on the UAC BBU and why would I want to use yours? It is around half the price of your product. ( try to justify my order)

UAC glock BBU is based on TM original design.

13.5mm bore, 21mm long cylinder.

And it is only housing. Not complete BBU.

It is something like this.

27238277241_714791e4e5.jpg

But mine has completely different design from TM, and it has 15.5mm bore and 33mm long cylinder.

And it comes as complete module that including all internal for fire/blow back action.

Stratos BBU kicks much better, looks better, and fully assembled as working module.

Which is something like this:
