Hardcore1-6
Yet again, I manage to catastrophically break something. My Dynatec BFG went underwater and now the fuse is an annoyingly long 10 or so seconds.Given the nature of a BFG this isn't workable!I've googled high and low and found one written explanation about using a hair dryer to heat the plastic and twist off the metal top.Has anyone had any dealings with the internals of these things? TheEgo
It's a vacuum timer. It's either got water or grit in the inlet valve. I have a cross sectional picture somewhere that might help. But you should be able to pull the top straight off. Then just clean and degrease the internals
Skarclaw
This thread may help. Cheers http://arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/208255-dynatec-dynatex-vtg-bfg-how-it-works-and-take-down/
Hardcore1-6
Skarclaw, as always punctual and helpful! Thanks for the link - if the search function actually worked.. however, cheers!
farrasdevell
I've taken my BFGs to pieces a few times it isn't terribly difficult I'll grab one and post some pics later. It is most likely water or grit in the teeny tiny airjet nozzle inside

Hardcore1-6
Having actually got the time to sort it this weekend, it would appear that neither stunt's help or farras' video are great.. I have the newer model with a different blast cap- i can't get leverage on the metal top without jamming something down the firing pin hole. Which as the metal is soft and weak like my dreams isn't great. Ideas?
Hardcore1-6
Can't work out how to edit posting from my phone. Morning of idiocy. Got it sorted. Applied more force, reattached it with a hammer. Fuse set to 3 seconds, even made a little fob for the reset tool. Now to restock with blanks for tomorrow's game.. cheers all, was very useful apart from the first hurdle!
