ardrummer292
TL;DR - I need new magazines that feed fast and will last a long time. What magazines do you recommend? Long version - I've been a TM fanboy for quite awhile. As such, when it came time to replace my pile of worn-out M4 magazines a couple years ago, I opted for a load of TM 68rd lowcap magazines. I've always liked TM magazines because of their seemingly indefinite service life. While the TM mags could never keep up with my Krytac on fullauto, I didn't care. Semiauto is all I ever use and the feeding was flawless. I did have an issue with the innards being ripped out of the metal shell during reloads, but filling the shell with Liquid Nails to secure the innards sorted that out. As of a few weeks ago, it seems the mags are starting to show their age. I'm now having intermittent feeding issues on semiauto. Every other shot is a dry fire with 12 of my 18 magazines, which doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy feeling when breaching a building. I have experienced this intermittent feeding issue on guns both with and without a sector chip installed. I've always been very careful not to leave my magazines loaded for any more than 48 hours. In addition, I have made it a habit to clean and lubricate them two or three times a year. They've been used very hard, but never intentionally abused. My replacement magazines must feed quickly and have a long service life. What do you recommend?
mgyz3
Try mag brand. Iv had mine for over 10 years and all 8 are battard to f**k but still work perfectly. Iv seen a few that have been brought with in the last few years and the quality looks the same.
Gigueand
My MAG brand magazines are the oldest piece of kit I own. Purchased in 2006 and been run through dozens of guns at dozens of games over the years. Cosmetically a little battered, but they run like champs.
Guges Mk3
MAG 190, not the 130. Modify XTC 190 Polycarbs are real nice! Sold under many brand names like Echo 1 and others...
DeltaZero
All of my PTS EPM/PMAG/EMAG/TMAG mags are able to keep up with my polarstar when I had it set at 72rps for testing.. My oldest is roughly 8 years old and it's still going strong! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
richwuk
I'm not sure if MAG have changed production recently but there mags have been problematic in a friends RIFs. His older ones were so much better. I've got some CYMA 190rd metals and they seem pretty decent for being abused over the last 3 years.
ardrummer292
I heard the MAG 190rd metal midcaps are very nice. That said, I'm iffy on MAG brand stuff since their plastic mids last hardly a couple months in my hands.
heroshark
I use cyma & mag ones.
TheFull9
PTS seem to have upheld the quality of their PMAG line very well with their EPMs. I don't know how fast they feed, but I know they're tough.
LordElpus
MAG has always been my preferred brand for mids, Although the PTS G36 Pmags were very good, if pricey
ardrummer292
Thanks for the recommendations, all. Keep them coming. Does anyone have experience with metal MAG midcaps? They're my current top pick, especially since regular STANAG mags work the best for most of my kits.
Guges Mk3
Thanks for the recommendations, all. Keep them coming. Does anyone have experience with metal MAG midcaps? They're my current top pick, especially since regular STANAG mags work the best for most of my kits. They work well. A bit heavy..but have a proven track record. Provided you are getting the oily ones and not others. FYI...MAG does NOT make their own mags any more.

I'm not terribly concerned about weight. My TM lowcaps, filled with Liquid Nails, are likely heavier than any other AEG magazine.

Skarclaw
anybody know where I can get beta project PMAG 75 rounders? Google turns up a blank - all out of stock? Is there some kind of magpul license thing at play or..? Cheers!
hitmanNo2
I think they're discontinued. Lots of BP stuff seems to be. I thought they were no more but I see they do mid caps and that's about it.
paranoiddroid
Who makes good mp5 mids and will the straight mags for the E1 feed in a jg mp5?
LordElpus
MAG MP5 mags were ok, Just need to make sure you stop filling them as soon as you feel any resistance. If you don't they start to pull apart.
BerserkDS
PTS magazines by far, in my opinion, are the top magazine in the industry. Quality cannot be matched, and the EPM magazines offer everything you could ever ask for in a Midcap. High capacity midcap, safety indicator to prevent overloading, compatible across the board, and durable as heck.
Got Wood?
If you like the look, Dytac midcaps are extremely well made
MrKingTaco1776
I still have my MAG midcaps from 10 years ago and they're still working without issue. You can't go wrong with the KWA K120 mags either.
