Special Ops
Could anyone advise me if the G&P KAC CNC aluminum RIS fits on the G&G Combat Machine M4 AEG's without modification? Thanks
DeltaZero
It will. Seriously. Your G&G and Cyma rifles are BOTH MARUI COMPATIBLE. So anything designed for the Marui platform or any of its clones will fit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hopna
Well, my G&G needed a new G&P delta ring, as they don't use the real type delta ring. It's just a small modification however, as the threads on the receiver are compatible.
mimesis
The biggest issue with cross-compatibility is the threading on the upper receiver + barrel nuts. There are several threads (no pun intended) here and elsewhere. Also look out for G&P threading on the business end of the outer barrel.
Beeingmyself
How many threads regarding the MK18 are you gonna make?
CaptCalvin
That's G&P one is actually a RAS. The Navy almost never use RAS.

Special Ops
Read this: http://www.quarterbore.com/kac/kacrisras.html Thanks. This helps out. That's G&P one is actually a RAS. The Navy almost never use RAS. Correct me if I'm wrong, but It's my understanding that the Navy uses the KAC RIS while the Army uses the KAC RAS?
CaptCalvin
Easiest way to tell between a proper RAS and RIS is that the RAS uses a hex screw in the rear of the unit while the RIS uses a flat head at the front. That or the RIS has only 1 roll pin at one end of the base of the top rail, while the RAS as roll pins on both ends. And yes that's the gist of it. The Navy wants to use heavy barrels and the RAS wont accommodate for that profile.
