Got Wood?
Because it's a blurry video in someone's bedroom, I'm willing to bet it's a one off hand made job
Mike_West
Yep, looks like someone in Japan gutted a CA and put some GBB innards there.
NonEx
Yeerh, my first thought too. Custom conversion.
ninja master of coffee
Well it uses classic army SAR M41 externals with the Shwabien Arms logo so it's almost certainly a custom conversion. I guess the question now is what was used for the internals? It's pretty impressive, seems to cycle well, I'd really like to see how it shoots. Hopefully it will encourage a manufacturer to actually build a G3 GBBR.
Horsem4n
It looks rather fake to me Hides top of mag from camera Seems to dump a lot of gas while filling, almost like he's just shoving the fill nozzle into the hole molded into the bottom of an AEG midcap. Recoil looks odd and too strong for a GBB rifle, but not apparently done by normal "lunging the gun into your shoulder fake recoil" means. Like either someone is punching the front of the gun or pulling it with a string, or is simply practiced. Bolt cycles fast for apparent frame rate on the camera. And relitively consistently catches the bolt in the same positions from shot to shot. Looks like the bolt movement was edited in post. Sounds like a we SVD or maybe m14 When HK slapped, sounds just like the CA plastic bolt, no metal clunk like when fired.
blobface
The recoil just looks faked to me after some practice.
ninja master of coffee
On a second watch, I think you guys are right.

renegadecow
But they haven't come through with their Thompson yet. I wouldn't hold my breath on anything else announced.
NonEx
WE recently had some comment activity on their Thompson post. They liked one of my comments and had responded to a lot of other ones saying there will be news soon. This was a few weeks ago.
Brigg
I'm also going with fake on this. When you put a lot of effort into something like this, the tendency is to show it off, not do things like purposefully hide parts from the camera. Also, the sound it makes firing sounds exactly the same each time. I know it should sound the same, but it should EXACTLY the same, like it's sampled.
kyon
Damn does no one read Katakana here, in the description "???????" means Joke
Katotaka
It says "Joke desu" - literally, (it is) joke. Ouch. I think some people here can read Katakana but no one reads description
NonEx
I had to Google just what it is and I still don't get it so don't expect me to be able to read it https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katakana
kyon
Hahahahaha to be fair it was mostly how long this thread got when the first thing I saw opening the video was like the description, the thread trolled itself
Katotaka
I had to Google just what it is and I still don't get it so don't expect me to be able to read it https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katakana In fact it's quite useful if you're into Japanese hobby stuff, when you see the block shaped characters, in my experience 90% of the time it is saying something in English, YMMV. Dimitri MdP
Really wish this was not fake. But hey, WE might actually develop it later on. Right now they are occupied in their all-time, undeniably masterpiece: the three barrelled pistol :p
renegadecow
I keep saying G3s are the most logical 7.62 thing for them to develop next seeing as how they already have the major equipment to make stamped receivers of their MP5 (like how the SCAR H simply has a longer extruded upper compared to the L). It's just a matter of time at this point.
DarkLite
I've heard and seen rumblings. It's definitely in the pipeline, as is some sort of FAL variant (which would use SCAR-H magazines in a new shell).
