Tinkerton
Post your steam name in here and I'll send you an invite. Edit : also, was goldeneye always that difficult or am I just rubbish?
amateurstuntman
No, Goldeneye had a number of key differences. The resolution was lower so the hit boxes were a relatively bigger. It had radar. You could screen hack by looking where your friends were looking. There were only 4 of you so the levels were less crowded. The aim button pulled up the reticle faster. The guns auto aimed when you got near the target. The move was analogue but the strafe was digital and there was no aim look, you aimed where you were going. There was no vertical aiming, there was but it was seldom used and the auto aim activation area was taller than it was wide. If you wanted to aim up you stopped and used the shoulder button. The doors were more responsive. The knives could be "cocked" by holding the trigger and thrown by releasing for snappier knife throwing. The other guys were sitting next to you so if they were being a dicy you could pull their controller out of the console or punch him in the balls. That is my initial impression from a few minutes of play.
hitmanNo2
I seem to recall one of the button profiles was C pad for forward/back and strafe then aim using the joy stick like a mouse. Most people didn't tend to use it though so you could dominate them pretty easily.
-Drake-
You could also pick Oddjob as your character, and then nobody could aim down properly to hit you up close
Tinkerton
Moonraker laser am best gnu.
amateurstuntman
AR33 is the best gun and my post about the "*beep* Galore" control system that used two controllers to make the N64 the first dual analogue console has vanished. RCP-90 if you are a noob. PP7 silenced had the best auto-aim range. *edit* *beep*, really? She was the Bond girl from Goldfinger.
Tinkerton
Yeah but its slang for a vagina, isn't it? Haven't found an rcp90 yet. Also I strongly remember dual wielding, however no matter how many times I run over the same gun I only have one. What gives?
amateurstuntman
You could only dual wield in the single player if: You had finished the game and unlocked all weapons, you could select it. You shot a dual wielding enemy. Dual Klobb guys, Dual DD44 guys, Jaws with the dual AR33s. I think there was a box you could shoot in the train level with an RCP90 in it that made the whole level a joke. Loved that. I don't think you could ever dual wield in multiplayer. Lone_Bullet
Decided not to play GE:S. Not my thing. I have, however reinstalled L4D, Watchdogs ( sooo lost on that one ) and I'm looking for GTA5 player ( Stunt, you're invited on Social Club ) Anyone fancy a play today? Tinkerton
L4d or l4d2? If the latter I'll be up for a game later.
amateurstuntman
Just had a quick blast of GTA Online with Lone_Bullet, a fine gent. We destroyed somebody's special cargo. What fun! We'll be playing again tomorrow to do some heists. I'll be about most of the afternoon messing with my new graphics card.
Lone_Bullet
Stunt has indeed acted as my GTA Sensei. Cos I need the guidance v.v. Great fun! Tink, L4D2 I meant, but I can do both
Tinkerton
I'd love to join you but alas, I am bereft of GTA: V. Shame. Up for some L4D2 later though
Lone_Bullet
These times It's around €35, if you're interested
paranoiddroid
When I get my pic sprted il come play maybe just um... I don't do speaking on mic.
Tinkerton
why not? we don't judge. Listen to the old arnies hangouts if you don't beleive us. It was usually Cazboab, Me, um... I think SpetsnazDave was a special guest once. Voice like a quarry. Maybe CKinnerly as well?
paranoiddroid
It's more because in not easily understandable, the vocal slur kind of stuff. I have used a voice machine for stuff like that but it's very robotic and not natural
Tinkerton
I just played through two missions on L4D2 with Lone_Bullet, and he's foreign (and an awful shot but shhhh ). I'm sure we'd cope. Also, I'm sure the slur isn't as bad as you think it is.
amateurstuntman
Worst case all you'd need to say is affirmative and negative. I'm a bossy nob in GTA, usually driving and watching the radar, telling my passengers where to shoot. They seldom get a chance to get a word in. Other than that I am often found just pleading with my brother to stop shooting people while I am trying to lose the police.
paranoiddroid
It's a legit special needs stereotype slur, I may use my voice software if you can handle robot.
Gunmane
Is it one of those that can make you sound like Darth Vader all the way to Alvin & the Chipmunks? I got a few streamer friends that have those at times and they can be a hoot.
