Wingman
Can anyone direct me to someone who makes or carries wood 1911 style grips that are cut so they can be used on the new KJW/ASG 1911 frames? No one seems to be carrying the older frame which just took the green gas magazines (which is what I actually want to use). While the plastic grip that comes with these new frames is "period correct" for WWII 1911's, I've always liked the look of wood on a slightly worn 1911 pistols. I have some nice actual Colt wood grips but dont want to mess them up converting them. Thanks for your help.

Wingmann
I converted some cocobolo ones from eBay using a regular Dremel cut disc up and down the grips so I got a perfect rounded tunnel. It's not hard to do, but you'll need some finesse.
