judgeman
Some time ago I attempted a dream project. Using simple hand tools, a bunch of real steel bits, sheer rage and just a little bit of 12 year old Glenlivet I would create the ultimate reproduction of the love child of FN Herstel and John Mosses Browning, the Hi Power. "But Judgeman, WE already made a HI Power" Yes they did. And it looks like butt. I'm going to try again to make it look not like butt. http://i349.photobucket.com/albums/q384/Fnki_monkey/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_1082_zpspeegjgbk.jpg First up are a pair of stock BHP MK III grips which are a simple enough file job. http://i349.photobucket.com/albums/q384/Fnki_monkey/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_1083_zpsd4bki5ra.jpg Next up we have a Cylinder and Slide extended slide lock. This was a *badgeress* and a half to file and fit and took six or so hours. I have a C&S extended single side safety but that's a WIP. The slide is being sent to a prop replicator on The RPF and will be filled and then cut for a dovetail for a stock BHP MK 2 rear sight. TO DO - mount CS safety/ rs hammer strut / MK III hammer
