I think you could in theory set up an age gearbox so that cycling the bolt let the gun be fired with judicious use of a mosfet and microswitches essentially Having the bolt have to move and rotate to deactivate a safety and provide a unbroken circuit so the trigger could be pulled and actually fire the gun but i have net seen the space that you have to work with in the gun and where the hop is so.... Im probably taking crazy pills

As for a full auto single shot rifle isn't that why the company that made the mac11 got into trouble because of weapons they built in fairly low power cartidges that due to the design would just slamfire if more than one round could be made to feed. Which was apparently somewhat easy to do. I think their single shot shotgun was banned because of that the 'terminator' or something along those lines.

But that was an open bolt gun and ah intentional defect vs true controllable full auto so not sure it counts really

I do know that at one point owning a M1A/other semi auto copy of the M14 shoelace could be considered by the BATFE as constructive possession of a machine gun because of somebody pointing out how stupid that the NFA rules are when giving interpretiry power to an agency who can decide what's legal and what's not without oversight and they are able to randomly change their minds later even after you've been manufacturing the product legally. I believe it was someone who'd been burned by that and iirc he struggles to get anything signed off on as legal basically out of spite since he's been an expert witness against the agency in the past.

Iv always wanted to know if it would work on the gas airsoft m14 in semi auto as well

Sure... but why bother? A regular spring bolt action mechanism is simple and reliable, using an AEG gearbox to achieve the same thing with mosfets and microswitches is just needlessly complicated, like if Wile E Coyote designed an airsoft replica.

Sooooo, is the bolt and the bolt-handle just a prop?

I have the AEG M82A1 and I love it! It's far from the Socom Gear gunporn but also a fraction of the price.

I drive a big car with a big engine, I like my guns big too but not heavy, the SW Barret is a perfect compromise. It's a fifty cal that you can sling around at any weekend skirmish.
