GHK G5 hand guard screws

I was watching a video on how to put the 12" Carbine kit on and noticed the guy said that the 4 screws that hold the front end to the outer barrel are 2 different sizes but measured all four of mine with a digital caliper and their all the same.

My question is did the change them recently that video was like a year old?  I was just curious I didn't want to put the screws in wrong like he mentioned.

I mean if you measured with calipers and verified both width, height and thread pitch I think that's the end of the discussion right there :o

Possibly they changed them to be the same to avoid confusion and damage.

A little update I measured again and 2 of them were 10.06mm +/- and the other 2 were 10.15mm +/-

So I just put those longer ones on the left side.  I still don't know their suppose to be that close in length though.

Thanks for the replies

The longer screws are meant to go in the front set of holes. If you really crank the longer screws into the rear holes, you can damage the hop up chamber.

Although, I thought that mine had a larger difference between short and long.
