Looking for Recommendations: Unusual Sights

Here's a pretty cool/good (think I have ordered from them once) website for sights and similar accessories that DJ_komodo recommended to me: http://www.greenbaseshop.com/

I have no affiliation with them but their product catalog and pictures is pretty good.

In the descriptions, GB = Got Branding, NB = No Branding.

FC1 replica: http://www.greenbaseshop.com/fc1%E7%BA%A2%E7%82%B9%E7%9E%84%E5%88%BB%E5%AD%97bk-nga1410

Sig Sauer replica: http://www.greenbaseshop.com/gb-1x25-mini-reflex-sights-1-moa-adjustments-3-moa-dot-reticle-red-dot-sight-with-1913-mountqd-mount-black-nga1358

Shield replica: http://www.greenbaseshop.com/gb-rms-reflex-mini-red-dot-sight-with-vented-mount-and-spacers-for-airsoft-glock-pistol-aluminium-black-nga1323

Leupold replica: http://www.greenbaseshop.com/GB-LP-LCO-Red-Dot-Sight-1-MOA-Dot-Matte-Black-NGA1105

Doctor replica: http://www.greenbaseshop.com/GB-DT-sightC-Red-point-Black-NGA1060

You can probably find those on other sites as well that you feel more comfortable with.

I also really like the Trijicon MRO replica but GreenBase doesn't seem to have it.

Then there's that solar powered red dot optic as well... hmmm, Trijicon SRS? Also not on GreenBase.

Then of course there are the Aimpoint T1 replicas, Aimpoint M3 replicas.

Nothing too crazy but alternatives to the EOTechs.

Almost forgot the good ol' Trijicon RMR: http://www.boomarms.com/shop/item.cfm?id=ACM-SIGHT-RMR-BK&curr_code=USD

Are there any replica Hartman MH1 sights out? :o

EDIT: Google gave me RC's thread :Phttp://arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/217426-hartman-mh1-red-dot/

AliX link is dead though but searching gets hits: https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?catId=0&initiative_id=SB_20171221185144&SearchText=MH1+sight

Have fun drooling :D

Unusual? Well, the ginger root 4x sight D-EVO by Leupold now has a clone:

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/NEW-Dual-Enhanced-View-Optic-D-EVO-Reticle-Rifle-Scope-Magnifier-with-LCO-Red-Dot-Sight/32833499594.html

This one comes with LCO clone as well... below are some pic of the rs version.

The point of it is that it allows for relatively normal shooting position despite having a magnified optic and red dot combo, instead of requiring an exaggerated chin weld for the red dot on top of a 4x, like that of ACOG RMR or Elcan Doctor...

I also need some recommendations, looking for a really light set of optics.

Its going on an SBR which is on the heavy side, its nice for a bit of tactical plinking, but would like flexibility to hit out to 500m.

I have tried Mini/Micro RDS (Doctor sights, Bushnell, T1, Vortex SPARC), not a big fan of small view windows.

I have tried Aimpoint and similar systems, ok for 300m but no good for anything beyond.

I have tried SpectreDR, but too heavy once mounted.

I have tried 1-4x short dots, but again too heavy once mounted and unwieldy

I have tried C-mores and similar open RDS, too flimsy and does not hold zero.

Would the LCO be the better option?  Or is there something else?

I don't see how LCO is any better than the Aimpoints though. Unless you mean the D-EVO, in which case, I can't comment as I've only seen them, not used them.

How about the Leupold HAMR? It's quite lightweight and you can put a Delta point on it, it also has a much better eye relief than an ACOG

ACOGs not a fan of the short eye relief, mounted both TA01 and TA31.  Weight is ok. The Chevron crosshairs aren't great for precision either.

Tested inline Red dot/magnifier combo but again the total weight is around 700g anyways (pivot mounts are heavy).  2MOA Red dot as crosshair isn't precise enough.

Will take a look at the HAMR as well as the D-EVO (real or replica).   Thanks :)

For range shooting: 3/4 man sized steel plates.  To register hits and adjust rounds onto target.

For individual run and gun matches: a mixture of 3/4 man sized steel (at >50m) + staked coro-plastic boards cut to size (for moving/trails scenarios) + steel pistol targets + clays for shotguns.  This is for scoring.

For pairs/4s moving ranges (Break contact/advance drills): 3/4 man sized steel targets + steel pistol targets.  This is so that you can tell if your suppression is effective.

For drive by fun:  Balloons/clays on stakes
