The 19 is shorter in grip length as well as slide length, and some people feel it is too short - this can be solved with a magwell extension or using 17 mags, but if that's the case you're probably better of with the 17! My advice would be to try both sizes and see which feels better. As far as the magazines go, the 19 mags are shorter than those for the 17, so hold a little less gas and a couple of rounds less, but are otherwise the same. Link to post Share on other sites
