number47
I'm starting a new build Marui based 1911 and would like to have an adjustable rear target style rear sight with a fibre optic front. However i'm not having much luck finding a single stack slide with the appropriate cut. Does anyone know of any out there? Please don't suggest hi capa slides as they are the wrong look for the build (i.e old school straight barrel, bushing etc) Thanks Number
Lone_Bullet
You want a hardballer, nr47?Sent from my H8324 using Tapatalk
number47
Yeah, kind of but I'm trying to build a more 'target' style piece rather than combat/carry.
Got Wood?
As far as I know only the hi capa slide has the right cut for the bones sights. Unless you went metal slide. A hi capa slide will happily fit and work on the frame of a 1911, if you’re concern is mostly the frame?
number47
Thanks for the replies fellas. Problem has been kind of solved, I've ordered an Army R29, which has an LPA style rear sight. I know Army aren't the best quality but the whole gun was only £60 (cheaper than even some slides on their own) and I have one of their MEUs which has held up really well. For those curious, I'm trying to build a replica Nighthawk Dominator.
Mike_West
Hey, my Army R27 outlasted an entire crate of KWA Glocks, so I wouldn't knock their quality...
Katotaka
You'll be fine, R29 is better than decent for what it is.
Gunnman
R29 uses an Elliason sights like the NM and Hardballer, not Bomar. But it's rather easy to make the Army pretty accurate assuming you get a decent gun. The trigger on my R29 was absolutely hideous, though. I use a Marui frame instead.
