Lithium battery help

Hi,

I’ve been out of the game for years and after shooting a real Scorpion Evo 3 a1 it lead me back to airsoft and wanting to buy one.

I’ve never used lithium batteries and only had basic chargers before.

So with my new asg scorpion I bought the following:

- asg 9.9v LiFe 1000mah crane stock 3 cell battery

https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/asg-9-9v-1000mah-20c-life-crane-stock-battery

- Titan digital lithium battery charger.

http://www.landwarriorairsoft.com/batteries-bbs-gas-chronographs-c5/chargers-c141/titan-power-lipo-life-smart-charger-uk-plug-p9949

The battery charged to the reader saying “full” incredibly quickly.

However when shooting it lasted about 150 rounds before stopping.

After reading up on the charger it appears it’s designed for 7.4, 11.1v & 14.8 v batteries and not 9.6.

Am I right in saying the 2 aren’t compatible?

If so would it be better to buy a different battery or charger?

Any help appreciated

So I opted for an imax b6. Didn’t check that it only comes with deans connector not Tamiya connector....

Just ordered an adaptor from amazon.

Now looking into information on the imax b6 it appears that most of them on the market are clones and not the “skyrc” original.

I think mine is one of these.

After spending over £60 now on charging this battery I will give it a try anyway. Will just not leave it unattended after horror stories of batteries catching fire!

I've been running a Turnigy B6 clone for 5 years and not had any issues.

Stick to using the 'Balance Charge' option and set the output current to no more than 2x your battery's capacity.
