Delta_Knight
Hi guys. One of the worst things about the VFC HK416 GBB is the fire selector switch. I'm guessing it is a copy of the real H&K, but that little grub screw that holds the switch onto the selector mechanism always works itself loose, and wobbles like crazy even when it is in place. I'd quite like to swap it to an M4 fire selector, as I have no use for the ambi controls. Anyone have any idea if it should be a straightforward like for like swap? Comparing the images, they seem to be the same, just wondering if anyone has done it? Kind regards, Michael
Wingmann
I'd try some teflon tape around the grub screw first. It'll keep it in there AND solve the rattling problem.
3vi1-D4n
Blue locktite? Else yeah the VFC M4 selectors is compatible.
Delta_Knight
Thanks for the feedback folks! Yeah I could pop some thread lock in and hope for the best. But I also am not a fan of the ambi controls so much, so looking for an excuse to dump them. And if I am being totally honest, it'll be another step to cloning arguably the most famous HK416 pic out there 😅 Michael
