It creaks a bit, but then again, i don't have the barrels aimed at me do i? :D

And yup, i like my shotguns (Marui or otherwise) Only reason i got the TM M203 instead of the SP launcher was mainly due to lack of funds (what with ArnieGeddon looming on the horizon) Not bad though considering the whole package only set me back £125 posted ;)

  • 4 weeks later...

I'm thinking about getting a Classic Army M15A4 Rifle basic package from Airsoft GI. But before I do (Wednesday or Thursday :D whenever I hear from PayPal about the AK47 rip off deal) I want to see what it looks like with an M203 kit on it. Only M16's thought please, no M4's.

Thanks guys! By the way, I searched and found the other M203 picture thread, but there were only 2 M16203's in there, and one was open so I couldn't see it's real look, and the other was a TM, was up againts a wall, and was in a really bad quality pic lol.

Look through the armalite picture thread and your weapon picture thread (a little bit longer to look through), I believe they have some there. I am also in a similiar position like yourself, I own the m15a4 rifle and would love to add an m203 to worsen my back condition. :P The m203 kits I've seen seem to be of three types (most of the pictures I've seen were on m4's, fewer on m16's):

1. RIS mount

2. Barrel mount

3. RIS mount with heat shield

Personally, I think the barrel mount option looks a little odd, being that the only upper handguard remains and there is a gap between it and the m203 exposing the barrel.

The RIS mount with heat shield looks badass but I'm guessing it would cost an arm and leg and I am sure they fit m16 models. I'm not sure if anyone else beside SP sells them.

The option I am considering is attaching some cheapo rails to the barrel and possibly getting a CA m203 long RIS version.

Still a little pricey, but a bit cheaper than barrel mount version, at least from what I've seen. Still, it might look funny with the rails I'm considering buying as they would slope down on the barrel:

This is the cheapest set of rails I could find. It is said to be a standard weaver rail set and not a picattiny set like what RIS is supposed to be, but I've heard that picattiny accessories (like the RIS m203) will work on the weaver set but not the other way around.

And if you want a more expensive handguard replacement RIS set:

And if you can spare that much cash, then surely you can send me some too. :)

you obviously didnt search cause i made a thread about a month ago

if you would have read the original post then you would have found out why I made this :) There were only 2 pics of the heatshield version in there, one was open, so it didn't look right, and the other was on a TM and was a very poor quality pic.

Just a heads up: The heat sheild version attaches via a barrel mount, NOT RIS.

Oops :D Silly me. I meant barrel mount set, not RIS. Don't know why I put RIS. Maybe because I want one. :( Ah well.

I didn't know there were others you could put on an M16 other than the heat shield version. So I just put M16 M203, hoping people would know the difference between an M16 and M4 lol. I can't edit the post now though, thats the one thing I don't care for about the way this forum is set up, after about 2 hours you can no longer edit your post. But anyway, different topic for a different time.
