aac
1.0 IntroductionThe most common item of the Plate Carrier is probably the front panel, also called Placard, mostly a Triple-M4 Mag Pouch, variant such as Flap, Open Top, Stretch, or Rigid. For my own Plate Carrier project I chose this TMC Triple Stretch Detachable Mag Panel (TMC 3465-MC) based on the Crye Stretch Detachable Flap. With this choice I actually went a bit against my own principles, where I normally choose repro's of items witch are frequent used in reality.Turns out this Crye Stretch Pouch is extremely rare "in the wildIronically, this pouch is featured in the CBS series SEAL TEAM, more specifically on the character Brock Reynolds , apparently the actor is friends with Caleb Crye, and in this way do some advertising,For more information about Crye Precision, just switch over to my TMC 3219 AVS review in which I elaborate on it in detail. Further can this Crye Stretch Mag Panel be spotted in Garand Thumb's gun belt set-up video, and on 1 picture of probably a Para Jumper ? 2.0 TMC Triple Stretch Removable Mag PanelAlso known as TMC 3465-MC is based on the Crye Detachable Flap and available at Weapon 762 for €27.99 (only in MC)It's a brilliant, yet simple, design which can actually be spoken in a few points. Just like the Crye original made from lightweight Cordura and Stretch fabric (only 140 grams) Due to the use of the Stretch fabric, this Mag Pouch is extremely universal, carrying both 5.56, and 7.62 mags in every other kit item imaginable. Minimalist stretch design allows for an extremely “low profile” front end (a maxim in Plate Carrier Set-Ups that requires being low to the ground, taking cover) Provided with extra (removable) Shock Cord Retentions, if desired, or undesired. The Semi-Rigid tab design allows for “one hand mag insertion”! Compatible with the JPC, AVS and LVS type plate carriers rriers2.1 Features Attachment straps. Semi Rigid tabs allow “one hand mag indexing” Elastic fabric. Non-elastic Cordura bottom. extra button tab securing. Quick Attach Buckles (single strap) loops. Removable elastic cord with pull tabs for item retention. 2.2 Overview and DetailsBelow a picture of the TMC Stretch Pouch Panel in profileClose up of the removable extra Shock Cord RetentionInserted the Mags and made extra "Jumpable" with the retention strapsThe TMC Stretch Mag Pouch can contain both 5.56 and 7.62 mags, although it is best not to change too much, as the pouch is quite stretched with the 7.62 mag.Fully equipped with Velcro on the backCheck my full TMC Stretch Mag Panel photo album here2.3 AttachmentThis is done by means of the attachment straps and Velcro on the back. For my own set-up i have the shock cord retention's removedFor all the details, about how that assembly actualy goes, you can see hereMy full TMC Mag Panel attachment photo album. My full TMC Mag Panel photo album 2.3 aac's Plate Carrier projectIn combination with my TMC 3219 (Crye AVS) and of which you can readmy extensive review hereIs this TMC 3465 Stretch Mag Panel now an official part of my Plate Carrier Project
