PureSilver
Accessory/Make: CustomCondition: UsedSplits/Swaps/Part Exchange: No/No/NoPrice/Payment: £20.00Pictures: As below, more available upon request. For sale is a custom machinist-made tool for planishing out the magazine restriction dents pressed into Remington 870 shotguns as well some airsoft replicas thereof, including the Dominator DM870. It can also be used as a jig for sanding welds and the face of the barrel lug, allowing magazine extensions to sit straight on the end of the magazine tube. This was professionally lathe-custom-machined from EN1A mild steel, and has been used once. To use the tool, it is hammered into the magazine tube until it sits flush against the end of the tube. It is tapered to allow this. Once seated, use a hammer to planish the dents flush with the magazine tube. This removes the dents without requiring you to grind them out, which thins the material badly at best and can go all the way through the magazine tube at worst. The other use for the tool is to sand the barrel lug and weld perpendicular to the barrel. On the DM870, the weld protrudes on the lug and causes magazine extensions to sit crooked. The lug's face is also often not perpendicular to the bore, causing the same problem. The tool can be used with circles of sandpaper to sand the lug and weld flush and perpendicular so that magazine extensions can sit flush. This tool cost £36 new, and will sell for £20.00 plus shipping. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
