It's the coolest looking plane in my book, too. But I don't really know a whole lot about aviation. I just build models. In March 2005, United States Air Force Chief of Staff General John P. Jumper, then the only person to have flown both the Eurofighter Typhoon and the Raptor, gave a verbal comparison on the two aircraft. He said that "the Eurofighter is both agile and sophisticated, but is still difficult to compare to the F-22 Raptor." "They are different kinds of airplanes to start with," the general said. "It's like asking us to compare a NASCAR car with a Formula 1 car. They are both exciting in different ways, but they are designed for different levels of performance." Also note that eight F22's took on 33 F-15Cs and suffered no losses. With current testing against F15, F16, F18 and simulated Russian fighters the F22 has 144-0 KD ratio. Anyways back on topic. Besides it's all acedemic anway, Typhoon and Raptor are not only flying, but in service (AFAIK Raptor is in service, just). Wheras the SU-37 just, isn't. And Raptor v Typhoon would be interesting, they are both very different a/c. Typhoon would have a slight advantage WVR and Raptor a slight advantage BVR, but they are both so close both performance and technology wise it'd be a damn good fight. And when Meteor comes into service, Raptor's BVR advantage would be almost gone. Only it's smaller radar cross section would give it a small advantage over Typhoon, but not much. I've stumbled across OS-Tan's of late, and happened across the picture that's now my desktop. Photobucket sucks, so it's been resized to reasonable sizes, but it's only 1024x768 anyway. Stupid budget LCD monitor Gota love Linux, though. I've all but ditched XP for Ubuntu - I've got a Boot of XP Pro on another Hard drive for games, and that's the limit of my microsoft use nowadays. EDIT - The icons in the top-right are iffy. I moved my images from the teeny ubuntu HDD to a bigger one that I'm now storing things on, and the images moved.... and I don't know how to fix it without creating new shortcuts EDIT 2 - Hmm. maybe leaving my MSN open with my Hotmail address visible for the world to see wasn't my best move.
