doc_newstead
oik, how do you get your indoor pics looking so nice? Obviously you Tattyshop out the backgrounds, but everytime I take a photo indoors, the light is dire. I'd love to do some 360 shots like that, and one of the bedrooms has pale walls and is certainly big enough, but it ends up looking like a porn shoot :S

Cheers snip3r! Cheers aimpoint! heh, thanks rageman! Thanks BakaBox! Hell; I don`t like Law-Enforcement Displays. I seriously HATE them. But sometimes, someone comes up with an Outfit like your`s. Congratulation - I am impressed and I would even be a little scared if you mess with me in close quaters battle wearing that Mask. How stable is that Mask `? Can it take direct hits ?! In short words/letters: I think thats a cool outfit, sir. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> hehe, thank you for your kind words! The mask is a MCU 2/P respirator, currently in use by many forces, including the SDU [but i got the mask mainly for my USMC DET-1 impression], and i have a smoked polycarbonate outsert [its clear underneath, but not polycarbonate] - so only with the smoked outsert is it skirmishable. without the smoked outsert it is not protective against bb's etc. it obviously has the added bonus of hiding your face and looking quite menacing it has a 6 point attachment system so yes, it is quite stable. it just about fits under my k-pot and MICH's too, although they ride high. As does the Protec. Edited October 25, 2005 by oikoik
doc_newstead
A tripod; I feared as much. My mate has a snazzy DSLR and a tripod, I'll have to borrow him one afternoon. And then take some photos afterwards.

HaVoC
That's all for now, folks! This impression is FINITO - the TT Med pouch (full of bandages, sterile saline washes, dressings and medical scissors), medical shears, sharpie and a few other bits just finish it off nicely, so I stuck my Kifaru Marauder on to top it all off (like the Crunchie bits in a Crunchie McFlurry...mmm...McFlurry...). Coming soon to a BlackHawk Down Day near you, as long as you live near Birmingham.

HaVoC
Goddamn it. Not all soldiers wear 'big black leather boots', you do realise this, right? I'm using Danner Agitator low-top boots with this loadout (in tricolour) which means it's for CQB only. Thus low-top Danners work far better than anything else in my eyes - rugged, yet you keep mobility in them. If they're cr*p boots, explain to me why Danner have such a good reputation within military circles, and I know of a number of soldiers currently deployed in Iraq who use these very boots. By the way, these boots carried me up into the Grand Teton mountains, and down into Bryce Canyon. So ner. Edited October 27, 2005 by HaVoC

HaVoC
I have my trusty Magnum Elite 6" boots, too. Depending on how wet the ground it, I'll choose my boots accordingly And hey, at Fireball woodland, we'll all be wearing Tricolour anyway
BakaBox
By the way, these boots carried me up into the Grand Teton mountains, and down into Bryce Canyon. So ner. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Exactly, they look like mountain boots. The pope may use them for all I care, I still think "ordinary" boots looks better.
HaVoC
But who really cares what they look like? If they do the job, great, and these do the job better than anything else I've found Therefore, they am bestest boots... ...for me, at this time, for that role. Believe me, I can get you HUNDREDS of photos of guys from different units using 'ordinary mountain boots'. Edited October 27, 2005 by HaVoC

Full Metal Jacket
Ordinary boots can be rather uncomfortable, especially in CQB. I haven't tried desertboots though, I'm getting a pair when the summertime comes again
