Full Metal Jacket
Russian kits are really nice. A kneepad though? I find it rather uncomfortable sitting on one knee without one. Edited October 28, 2005 by Full Metal Jacket
doc_newstead
Ooh nice. What's the big pouch on your back? Also; Soloman, do you look at your photos and think 'those boots stand out a bit'? I do too, but then that's price we pay for bothering to polish them I guess I have to say, that's some nice Russian gear.

Misfit
first off - im not picking holes, or slating you, or anything. i've seen a couple of SNAFU guys, and they do look the part. BUT.. i thought one of the main ideas of 'geardoism', was too look EXACTLY as the unit you are imitating. so surely the quote i have highlighted isn't in keeping with a geardo ? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It is keeping with geardo, as the real guys use that boot, don't care what it looks like, because it does the job better than a "real boot". doc_newstead
Gah! I thought xRazerx buried that arguement when he posted about 6 pictures of PJ's wearing... ta da... the same boots? Edited November 10, 2005 by doc_newstead
screamin_weasel
i was simply pointing out HaVoC said the look doesn't matter, yet the look is the whole point of geardoism.
doc_newstead
No it's not, it's authenticity and buying real, quality stuff Hence the 'gear' in geardo.
screamin_weasel
but buying the real stuff gives you the real look. would you be a geardo is you used real kit, but from 23 different countries' forces all mixed together? the authenticicty is in how the kit looks together, not just the nametag on it. but i dont even know why im in this - argument - i know *fruitcage* all about kit, and even less about HaVoC's fine boots. i couldn't have picked out they are 'wrong' or 'right' and he probably put more effort into buying those boots than i have in buying all my airsoft stuff. anyways, i dont like holes.........
