Tackleberry
I like it and I am going to build a M635 as soon as possible..
Johannes
why did they make the 9mm colt in the first place, when they have guns as small as the m635 but using 5.56 instead
Phoenix
Probably to have 9mm in a package they were already familiar with.
Tackleberry
Why do people use MP5 when HK53 is available or UMP9 when G36C is available? Different needs I guess..
Catchv22
I'm more interested in the 90 round Uzi midcaps that came out with it.
urbandork
diffrent rounds for diffrent missions.
Longhairedhippy
9mm is cheaper. the M653 is used by some SWAT teams for use in urban environments because 9mm does not have the penetration that the rifle cartridge has. I like this gun, and hope to someday get the JAC classic gun.
Tripod
I believe it's also a drop in type conversion on the real gun so that it would be cheaper to have this than an M16 and an MP5. I really don't like colts anyways so eh.
14692
Great, I can think of my RO636 project now

Johannes
okey okey, no offence to you m635 lovers. But still I thing the 9mm magazine on the colt looks like c#ap
BigAl
For law enforcment use, I recon the main reason is the fact that it uses the same ammo as the pistols most agencies issue. therefore simplifing logistics and cutting cost as well as the other benefits already given. TMC
okey okey, no offence to you m635 lovers. But still I thing the 9mm magazine on the colt looks like c#ap <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Please don't call it a "colt". That's CS speak. The same speak that made kids go "OMG DEAGLE!" Foxtrot
'Colt' Also makes how many other hundreds, if not thousands of models of guns? So, it's a generic term when it comes down to talk specifically about the M635. A gun isn't ment to look pretty - and those who don't like the looks of it, ok your choice. But when it comes down to it, the logistics of it, you can have M4's and M635's on a police force. The M4's and The M635's will share (most) the same internal/external parts. (Expection to the given parts.) And the M635 will use the same ammo as most issued police force pistols - 9mm. Logistics are cut - also, H&K's gun prices are redicilous, where buying a M635 from colt is going to be dramatically cheaper then buying an Mp5. And 9mm over 5.56 - it all depends on uses. In a hostage situation, you would want 9mm so that it will hit the person, go in, but chances are not penitrate and go into a possible civilian behind. Where a 5.56, unless it hits a bone, is going to plow right through the target - and probably the 4 walls behind him. (Or people.) So thats why it s 9mm, not 5.56.
Johannes
is it more correct to say ar-15??? instead of using colt??? when we are talking about m16/m4 series??

Pegasus 1
I absoloutely hate the look of the M635. However, i can understand why it was produced, and why some people may like it as i like the looks of an AUG while others dislike it. However, i believe that if i ever bought one of these to complete a SWAT load out, i would ge tthe conversion kit that is avaliable on War4, rather then this singular kit. Enables you to attach it onto the AEG for certain moments or games, and then take it off. A whole metal body focused on that one element would be a little to much for me i think. Tripod
But foxtrot, he was saying the 9mm conversion looks crappy in every Colt. It's perfectly ok that he used the term Colt rather than type out the hunderds of models you mentioned.
