click08
I know what happened to that shyster at tokyohobby.net (WWIIGuns.com, same company) they are still stealing money. I ordered, and paid for: 01/12/05 ORDER (Bank-to-bank transfer) 1 * Tokyo Marui M4 S-System AEG ($310.00 USD) $310.00 USD 2 * Tokyo Marui 8.4v 600mAh SG battery ($35.29 USD) $70.58 USD 1 * Tokyo Marui Battery Charger (for AK/mini/SG/SD-type batteries) $16.90 USD 1 * LayLax Nitro Vo. What a fool I am! I received this email on 1/17/05: Hello, Thank you for contacting us. Your order is shipping out today. If you have any inquiries or questions please feel free to contact us. Best regards, www.tokyohobby.net Daisuke Customer Service & Sales After numerous sent emails with no response and no delivery, I received this email on 3/02/05 (first one since 1/17): Hello, Thank you for contacting us. The batteries and LayLax V900 torch are shipping out shortly. For your information you should see the terms and conditions of the sale that were required to be read and accepted before purchase http://www.tokyohobby.net/shop/terms_conditions.php Best regards, www.tokyohobby.net Customer Service & Sales No batteries? Of course, I never expect to receive the airsoft gun so who cares about it operating! Toykohobby also sent EMS and USPS numbers to track their "delivery'...guess what? The numbers do not exist. Also, the link TH added in the latest email I received included their "terms and conditions" which state: Cyber defamation, slander and libel Buyer agrees not to post any information which is detrimental to the reputation of tokyohobby.net on any medium whatsoever including, but not limited to, the Internet, or to any person or organization, and shall not induce a third party to do the same. Tokyohobby.net will pursue damages in cyber defamation, slander and libel incidents to the full extend of the law. I think I've been told to keep my mouth shut!?! First, I'm a woman and would find it impossible to do....secondly, I've been screwed, and not in the manner in which I prefer. Therefore, I've contacted the Japanese Embassy and Japanese Business Service regarding Miki Nakamura and Tokyo Hobby. I'm also working with a specialist through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in Detroit who deals with internet fraud. Spread the word!! TokyoHobby.net, WWIIGuns.com, and Miki Nakamura will go down! Hopefully, before they victimize any one else.
RSBTH
Click08, I'm in the same boat as well. Been trying to get a hold of the embassy in Detroit (i'm in MI as well) to no avail. Anyway, from our $5000+ wholesale order placed in early Feb 2005 we've received about $150 worth of products and I must say in record time from them compared to the poor service others have received as well (took 3 weeks and numerous unanswered e-mails!). So I'm still out of $4k+! Anyway, I'm surprised nothing has been done by the local authorities in Tokyo as I know this has happened to others. Ofcourse I had to learn it the hard way. To top it off, I got that same idiotic if not insulting message from them too. One way or the other, these bastards will fry.
DarkLite
Why do people keep ordering from them? Why? I only buy from local Retailers. Why? If something is wrong I can just bring it back and get a new one. (Or tear them a new one should they refuse).
RSBTH
Why do people keep ordering from them? Why? I only buy from local Retailers. Why? If something is wrong I can just bring it back and get a new one. (Or tear them a new one should they refuse). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Very true... but as a retailer ourselves, we tried them out to see how reliable they are. There are many people who simply pick the first site out of results they find on search engines instead of digging deeper. I'm glad it was only a small order... Oh well, lesson learned here.
andthestoryends
for that kind of money why dont you just fly over there and beat it out of them yourself? I mean, a few stories here and there are inevitable, but its clear to everyone involved that this person is just stealing money from people...
RSBTH
Well they've completely ignored all communication now, I used to get at least something smart-assed back from them. He's lucky though (Miki Nagawhatever) - I got the news that I'll be stationed pretty close haha so I'll be paying them a visit with some of my Marine buddies (yes I'm in the USMC:). He dealth with the wrong person this time....

I also found out that the address he uses is from another hobby shop and not his. So it'll take some time to find his ugly *albatross*.

atlaz
Hi, greetings from Finland. Just wanted to warn you all of a new company by Mikio. http://www.japanairsoftguns.com If you check the names behind the domain, you'll see the following Administrative Contact, Technical Contact: Japan Airsoft xv9hw5r58cv@networksolutionsprivateregistration.com ATTN: JAPANAIRSOFTGUNS.COM c/o Network Solutions P.O. Box 447 Herndon, VA 20172-0447 570-708-8780 If you look at WWIIguns.com (another mikios company), it's information is following Administrative Contact: Nakamura, Miki fb9cf6d37vj@networksolutionsprivateregistration.com ATTN: WWIIGUNS.COM c/o Network Solutions P.O. Box 447 Herndon, VA 20172-0447 570-708-8780 BEWARE, mates. Detectiv atlaz, over and out ;P Edit: Ok. So i may have jumped to conclusions. But the both site's have the same domainprovider, and dns-addresses. I't doesn't state anywhere, that japanairsoftguns is owned by mikio, but i'm quite suspicious thou. Edit2: Ok, i checked another mikios site here in finland. Airsoft-finland.com, it does have the same dns-servers too. Maybe i am right. Maybe i ain't.. But still, i'd keep my fingers away from japanairsoftguns.com.

Arnie
We could take bets on how many websites are going to be launched this year that promise the user cheap Airsoft direct from Japan. ..place bets now.
orca
Well DNS wise Miki did a good job NOT having anything related to tokyohobby.net. BUT japanairsoftguns.com does have the same BS paragraph that only tokyohobby.net has in their "Terms of Sales" which no reputable retailer would ever need to have on their website. Kinda scary that Renegade Recon put up this site as a news item. And their forums are void of any info, good or bad on Miki, tokyohobby, wwiiguns, japanairsoftguns. Although I didn't see much info on any specific retailer. Cyber defamation, slander and libel User of this site agrees not to post any information which is detrimental to the reputation of japanairsoftguns.com on any medium whatsoever including, but not limited to, the Internet, or to any person or organization, and shall not induce a third party to do the same. japanairsoftguns.com will pursue damages in cyber defamation, slander and libel incidents to the full extend of the law. Looks like he got paypal again with this new domain name. Nice try again Miki Nakamura... tokyohobby.net wwiiguns.com japanairsoftguns.com Beware and look for that paragraph in their terms of sale. Antagon
Arnie, 10$ on 4! Times like this are the reason I love this forum. It's my online home away from home.

Why is it that RR are the first folks to post news from WW2 and JapGuns when (with their sources inside Japan) they'd know that both websites were TH... */ ..well we know what country the websites are made in still then. WMH
I don't think RR knows the fact that these sites are related to Tokyo Hobby. Well, at least thier forum members know to avoid TH: http://www.renegaderecon.com/forum/viewtop...ight=tokyohobby But then, on the newest intel, there is a banner ad for japan airsoft: http://www.renegaderecon.com/article_detai...tails.php?id=82 Huh... Strange that wwii guns can't be found in the forum, anyone have any better luck with a search there? http://www.renegaderecon.com/forum/search.php? edit: I've also emailed HQ at RR, pointing them at this thread, and asked them to email Arnie. -WMH

ecobassman
This is my first post so I hope I'm doing it right... A while ago there was a big screw up regarding TH and a canadian dealer. A large group of people ordered from the dealer and he ordered from TH. Long story short they ended up filing a class action lawsuit against TH for failure to deliver product. Does anybody happen to know if they won it? If they did I wonder how many people would be interested in going that route to get their stuff/help take this guy down... I know I'd be in. My pals and I put about $950 his way and have gotten less then half of the order since Oct 4th '04.
