unimatrix001
Why not? The HKM4 or HK416 as it's called now is reallity. Thats no fiction. So why don't make an airsoft copy of that weapon? Also a FN M4 is not that unlikely in the future, FN produces the M16A2 and M16A4 for the US Military.
Tackleberry
HK body on the AR-15? WTF?!! Hey, here is another one: FAMASM4 mwhahaha or... wait a sec here: FNM4 FNMI has been manufacturing M16's for the US military since -88. http://www.fnmfg.com/products/m16/m16a2.htm http://www.fnmfg.com/products/m16/m16a4.htm http://www.fnmfg.com/products/m16/m16a4usmc.htm
KWP
Also a FN M4 is not that unlikely in the future, FN produces the M16A2 and M16A4 for the US Military. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> FN producing the M16 for the U.S. Military is earthshaking news for me. I followed Tackleberry's URLs and found the evidence. I can't hardly believe that. Now I can understand why an HKM4 is not just a nightmare, but reality. Well, better German quality than frickin French fries. Btw, I've got nothing against the Heckler&Koch GmbH. The all popular MP5 series gives more than enough prove for their skills. I just think one should not mix up things, that are not supposed to be mixed up .
unimatrix001
I am not doubting your words, but FN producing the M16 for the U.S. Military is earthshaking news for me. Could you provide reference? Thx. Sure, take a look http://www.fnmfg.com/products/m16/m16main.htm Only the M4A1 Carbine is still produced for the military by colt. Btw, I've got nothing against the Heckler&Koch GmbH. The all popular MP5 series gives more than enough prove for their skills. I just think one should not mix up things, that are not supposed to be mixed up . On the one hand i agree with you, but on the other why not. The HKM4 is designed as an improvement-program to the AR-15 Weapons Familiy, just like HK fixed the problems of british L85 service rifle a few years ago.

Tackleberry
Well, better German quality than frickin French fries. Speaking of the French, looks like they are using Bushmaster AR15's: http://media.militaryphotos.net/photos/Ivo...onflict/ivory92
Catchv22
FN are Belgian. And oddly enough the Belgians invented French Fries, so do not insult them.
Qhs
I wonder if the Guarder HKM4 kit will fit on the Systema m4 series? The Hurricane one doesn't.
unimatrix001
I wonder if the Guarder HKM4 kit will fit on the Systema m4 series? The Hurricane one doesn't. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think so, Guarder stated "It will be compatible of SYSTEMA Aluminium UP/LOWER Receiver for MARUI" for their other M4 Bodys. http://www.intrudershop.com/show_product_e...p?idproduct=

Since the training rifles don't use TM gearboxes I don't think the Guarder body is compatible with them.

I wish Guarder would make things that would be compatible with the Systema M4 PTW.

Colt owns the legal paten and trademarks for the m4 series, sued H&K as well as Bushmaster, both companies have ceased operations, and destoryed what remaines of their stock. Thus, No more H&K m4. If this is true why is bushmaster still offering their M4 Type Carbine a mentioned in the Colt Propaganda? http://www.bushmaster.com/shopping/weapons/bcwa3f14m4iz.asp Note: new Version after AW-Ban expired, thats not just an unactual Website. Also I can't find anything about at the HKPro Forums.
Foxtrot
http://www.defense-aerospace.com/cgi-bin/c...odele=jdc_inter All right there.
unimatrix001
But that's only the Colt Propaganda that's also published at Colt's website. Here: http://www.colt.com/mil/news.asp Nothing official and neutral out there.
Foxtrot
As far as american courts go, and the international trademarks - Colt owns them, thus has a right to sue who ever they want. H&K, by law, can no longer produce the M4 varient. The Bushmasters case I beleive is settled already. I'm not sure why H&K would even bother wanting to try to make an M4 varient when they have the G36 series and the XM8 series.
shin_en
That's funny because my friend personally called HK and they said that the HK416 (the HKM4. Colt has the rights to the name "M4") is for special forces only. HKPRO's boards say that the civilian models will come out sometime next summer
Catchv22
I believe that Colt only owns the copywrite of the name 'M4' but the patent for the general design has exired. Other companies can make AR15s but can't call them M16s and M4s. Hence the name of the HK M4 being called the HK416.
