doc_newstead
A seal with an M9. That's just wrong. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> All US Armed Forces are trained and issued with the M9. Except maybe the Coast Guard
PlasticMag
All US Armed Forces are trained and issued with the M9. Except maybe the Coast Guard <{POST_SNAPBACK}> SEALs have the P226. It's designated the M11 by the DOD. Here's a SEAL warrior undergoing BUD/S:
Eddie182
Doesn't mean they couldn't use an M9 if they really wanted to does it.
doc_newstead
SEALs have the P226. It's designated the M11 by the DOD. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, but you don't just 'join the SEAL's' do you? They would have been in the Marines or Army or whatnot before that, so they would already know how to use an M9 very well. Anyways... anyone got any more pics?
PlasticMag
Yeah, but you don't just 'join the SEAL's' do you? Anyways... anyone got any more pics? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They would have been in the Navy. Only Navy becomes SEALs unless you transfer from another branch of the military, which isn't that easy to do. Anyways... anyone got any more pics? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually, the most seals are ex-marines. And the seals allow other usaf to transfer and try out to be a seal, however 70% of all navy seals don't see action.
skyler8158
About the whole SEAL/M9 thing, when the unit was testing the M9s years ago, they suffered a few serious malfunctions that resulted in injuries(IIRC). They then switched to the Sig P226. The M-11 is the Sig P228, a smaller version of the P226.
18X-ray
Actually..you can be qualified for a kinda..short course in BUDs if your in the Army, Or Air Force..but heres a Nice kicker you all might not be aware of..even then Marines are essentialy another branch they are still dept.of the Navy. and even though its said that only Navy Sailors can be Seals. Marines are actually eligable through loop holes. One being that if a Marine has under gone enough training with Recon and Has the Correct papers..which being Dept of navy you dont need many. he is therefore Eligable for Seal Selection and BUDs training and thus eligable for being assigned to a team.Without switching branchs.. Now on the M9 issue. Some seals have used M9s. M9s arent THAT BAD peopel if you just dont get one thats been through hell and have fresh new mags...Also there are other berreta s that are used by Seals like the .40 Version of the M9 that looks identical. So M9 isnt that far off
^cRYpTic^
This is straying from the topic at hand, but I have a quick question that I hope someone can answer. Are the P226 AND the P228 both chambered in 9mm? I know that the P228 is, but I'm not sure if the P226 is available in .40 or .45 as well as 9mm.
18X-ray
Actually you can get both of them in varies rounds. But yea..back on topic

Crandall
lol crandall i dont know how to make my pictures big anybody know how? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Crandall's Guide To Hosting Pictures! Step One-Get an account on http://www.photobucket.com Step Two-You see a picture you want to show everyone. You right click said picture, and do the option "save as" and then name said file, and save it where you want to on your computer Step Three-Log onto your photobucket account, and then upload them. You upload them by clicking browse, a new box will open and and in that box, find where you saved said pictures and click open. The click submit and the photo will upload. Step Four-After the pictures are uploaded, you will get 3 selections. They are for URL's and tags, the first one is just the regular URL, the 2nd one is for things like blogs and such, and the last is for forums, and is called "bb code." BB code is the code you want to post up here, and looks like this. [IMG=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v600/**********/************.jpg] All you have to do is copy and paste that into your post, and you will have a picture up.

HaVoC
My quite old-skool SEAL impression It's moved on a bit since then, including a semi-transition to ACUs, but if I posted that I'm I'd get bitched at about how SEALs don't use ACUs. So yeah.
