evilhippy
Seeing as we're being picky about langauge... ...and I'm feeling like a pedantic c*** I don't think there's much wrong with google translate in this case, German is much like English in that there are many ways to say the same thing and the subtle differences in context make me think that the translation is perfectly good, like in English, obviously, I could have said just then: German is much like English.. English and German are similar.. English closely resembles German.. German isn't especially different from English.. English has many of the same characteristics as German.. German and English are structured in largely the same way.. etc etc etc. Also both langauges draw on many meanings for the same words in different contexts and with slight tense/syntax/(with German, gender as well) variables. Chances are the expensive tool made by the huge and influential company is quite accurate Edit: Oh, and they are correctly spelt `and` and `Deutsch`, respectively

"und" sounds like "and" an so on.. But yeah...if you get the grammer an accent right, then you basically got the foundations for speaking german. Also...you have to learn that the words are said in different ways. Formal an Informal...it is very embarrasing if you get the two mixed up. An the Germans in Koln (Cologne) absolutely hate the Turks that live there. 101Matt1...Never trust an online translator...they are ######, go down the library an get a German dictionary out.
