coderedairsoft
ok thanks... now um... would a 9.6v nunchuck 2000 mah battery fit in the flashlight grip if it was in a "V" formation?
Psychosis
1) the gun has enough trouble fitting a mini battery with the stock foregrip and battery, there's no way it can fit nunchucks. 2) a flashlight foregrip has less space than the normal foregrip. In a word, no.
coderedairsoft
ya, but look at the review and it has a pic that says if you can get it to fit the nunckuck by making the barrel fit between the 2wo

And theres always a way to work around things.
percentage
I'm getting my UTG Mp5 this coming monday, and i'm very excited. I'm wondering about a few issues: A friend of mine just got a utg warhawk, and he shot about 200 rounds semi-auto, and started firing fully auto...after about 60 rounds of fully auto, the guns gears started grinding...and he didn't want to take it apart and void his warranty from shortys. Is there any true way to break in a UTG's gears without having to take the gearbox apart? This is my first aeg and im completely new to the deal.. I have some friends that can help me with the wiring, which makes me excited, but i don't want my gears to mess up before i really get a chance to use the gun. Also, using silicon lube, where do you spray it, and why. Thanks for the help in advance.
Retry
ok thanks... now um... would a 9.6v nunchuck 2000 mah battery fit in the flashlight grip if it was in a "V" formation? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes it will I just tried my CA B&T stock taclight forgrip on my old UTG and my 2000mah nunchuck did fit. A very very tight fit but it did work. the main problem is there is just way to much wireing in the foregrip area but I over came that .

ChwyNiblet
You might want to think about getting some gears...just a thought. And you should get the cylinder head and piston if you want to keep the gearbox working like that.
thenobodies66
ok thanks. ya i was looking at the high speed gear set for like 60 bucks. does that mean higher ROF because i like it high.

Just rewire the extension to the fixed butt stock and use the A4 stock. I also strongly suggest that you get a new extension, for the stock extension has lots of restriction. percentage
solved my own questions by reading the thread, i'd advise everyone doing the same, instead of posting idioticly like i did.

Everything else you should be able to do for under $60 usd. I'd suggest doing the wire upgrade before any of the other things though, as you're not going to be able to pull that m100 without it. I noticed you also thought about doing some high speed gears. Again, after doing the gears and all the upgrades, you should have just purchased an ICS or CA for the ammount you'll spend. With the high speed gears, and all the stuff above, and the price of the gun, you're basicaly spending what you'd have spent on a higher quality gun. If you want a faster rate of fire, get the 9.6v nunchuck batt and put it in the stock instead of the high speed gears.
thenobodies66
i already have the battery but i have it in my CA taclight grip. i know i could rather get an ics/ca but eh what do u get out of having a stock 320 fps gun? id rather get knowledge of upgrading and stuff. ill just get 16 awg wire and then all those upgrades minus piston cylinder/head. ok thanks. Tippmann2000
Anyone who reads this should know that UTG was V1 so alot of upgrades have been made. One of the upgrades is new wiring and it has no need to replace now (on V4). Also the motor has been upgraded and it now has a good pouch to it and it will more then likely will not need to be replaced(unless you upgrade alot of stuff other then Piston, Piston Head, Spring, and other small things). I have the Well R5 MP5 V4 witch is the same as the UTG MP5 V4 with only slight differences sense UTG just took the Well gun and repackaged it. I have upgraded the Piston, Piston Head, and Spring and its been running great! But the point of this post was just to mention that the UTG MP5 in this topic is a V1 so alot of problems have been fixed.
Matthias
Okay, its taken me forever but I got the gun put together and I test fired it today, well, it didnt quite work, first, I heard a horrible grinding noise which I fixed by ajusting the motor, then I tried it again, I didnt have a grinding noise but my gun couldnt pull back the spring (a PDI 120 + 10) I have upgraded the wiring as per statics instructions and what I believe whats wrong with it is... 1, spring is too big, 2, I messed up the wiring somwhere. 3, My spring guide as crooked when I put my gearbox together, it was pointing down so I am assuming that it might be interfearing with the gears or that its not letting the spring compress correctly and it wont go in the piston stopping it from being pulled back. Please reply, I need to fix this by saturday.
Md0ggyd0g
I'm about to buy a used one, and the previous owner opened the GB and wrecked the spring guide, lost 2 bushings, and just didn't put it back together...so he lost/mixed up the screws, could you help me out with what kind they are? As I don't want to destroy the GB. Thanks. EDIT: And these are the proper gears for replacing the stock ones, right? (He lost those as well...)
Matthias
You could just email leapers and see if you can get some gears or even a gearbox from them, probably fairly cheap as well.
Md0ggyd0g
Well I figure as long as I buy gears I might as well buy better than stock gears. But I'll email them to get a price, so good idea (might save me a bit of money ).
