literally 10 minutes after i put the order for a UTG MP5 i find this post

Next month...so they're delaying their M249 to allow us to test their gearboxes for the SA80...if we say it's cool then they can go ahead with the M249 and hopefully an M240B...

 

I can live with that.

About the SUSAT, theres the same kind of thread on ASCUK (I really don't give a damn about the Arnies-ASCUK thing) with a picture of the L85's with SUSATS on, have a look.

 

Was going to get a CA36K but now I'm in a pickle

Does anyone know a proper release date and also when does the VCR bill go through?

 

With all the terrorist bombings it does eem to have been shelved a bit....

 

Lets hope its doesn come into effect until next year so as we can buy one of these beauties!

I am not worried about the plastic gearbox shell....but how do they plan to get a version 2 gearbox into a L85? This weapon is more designed holding a version 6 or version 1. Any ideas?

The "Version 2 plastic GB" seems to me to be the Plastic gearbox that STAR used in their M249, which is about the size of a V6 or V1 TM GB.

 

I told you, STAR could use that GB to make a FAMAS or L85, and looky what happens.
