Nicoli
I remember seeing you attacking outpost 7 i was up on heartbreak ridge trying to organise my rabble and decide what objective to take next. (OP7 or stag camp) I saw one of those scorpions in the shop tent and was gutted i was like wow i want one but zero one had brought me a KSC Glock18C, (now thats a fun gun lol) i would have bought a scorpion if i had the cash. how did yours handle? Grim It's great, aside from it's small size it is a decent little gun. Obviously difficult to use as a primary in that situation as it lacks the range/punch of a full AEG. But it's handy for when things get up close and personal. Also for a marui it has a ridiculous amount of metal in it giving it a nice weight. Vercingetorix
Anyone know if them surplus SAS jakets are 95 pattern dpm? Thanks! EDIT:: I talked with my team leader about this really cheak britmilsurplus website... He asked me what grade they were advertising on the website.... Grade 2... He told me that most grade two things are beat to hell and back, may have buttons missing, will be faded as hell, will have stiching repaired or completely frayed, holes in it, etc... IS this true about britmilsurplus? Has anyone ordered things from there?b IS the stuff ###### and beat to hell and not worth the money? I need to know desperately, as there is no contact info on the sight, and I definitely don't want to throw my money away.... Edited August 28, 2008 by Vercingetorix
TheFull9
Got a link for the site you're talking about mate? Kind of hard to give advice when we can't see which site you're talking about. Generally I wouldn't recommend grade 2, I mean yeah it'll do the job for airsofting but it will probably be in a pretty beaten up and very faded state; granted there's grade 2 and then there's grade 2.99, but that system is a bit too general for my liking, you can't truly tell what you're getting. Grade 1 you're mostly alright with, especially with PLCE webbing and bergens, that stuff lasts forever.
starburst
As a rule Id never personally do business with a site with no contact info, who do you talk to if your order is late or something is missing from you package.
Vercingetorix
Firstly, I highly doubt the SAS would ever ever ever wear WebTex gear, it is generally regarded to be *suitcase* quality. Regular Army soldiers hold this opinion, so the SAS are highly unlikely to touch WebTex. Something like http://www.britishmilitarysurplus.co.uk/is.../shopscr92.html would be better, they are still in use in Iraq by the SAS, and although not waterproof they'll be water repellent and you can always treat it with some NikWax.. this site... And it does have contact info upon further searching, just not easy to find it....
TheFull9
Temperate PLCE, Light Machine Gunner Comes in both light and heavy variants. Not an accurate impression of anyone in particular, but I think this is a load-out that could well be used for greenside ops. Shame about the colouration on the boonie, but I think the bright sun may have brought out the differences to a bit more than usual. Needs a sling and cam cream but was rather pressed for time unfortunately.

Lerch
The only side I'd ding ya for would be empty looking webbing Otherwise very nice bit of kit, even with the repro jhat it's looking better then most.
TheFull9
nice looking loadout you got there Cheers. The only side I'd ding ya for would be empty looking webbing Otherwise very nice bit of kit, even with the repro jhat it's looking better then most. The annoying part is I have a proper issue large-brim boonie sitting right here, but it's just barely 1 size too small, goes on but feels like my brain is being squeezed, I need to find an issue short-brim from somewhere. Webbing If I'm honest I've got very little experience wearing during real training, and certainly never used it in an LMG role, so I basically put as many pouches on the belt as would fit and had to make do, I do have a stack of other ones here (entrenching tool, bayonet, double ammo etc) but wearing a small belt adjusted right down I can't really fit much on; I'll have to try and pack it all together more when I do a normal rifleman. Thanks for the feedback though mate. Also, to save any potential confusion as happened last time, kit list: Base line: -Short-brim boonie hat/Mk6 Helmet with cover -Football shirt type material issue green t-shirt -CS 95 lightweight jacket (raf badges) -CS 95 lightweight trousers -Issue assault boots -(Old style armour plate carrier) Webbing: -Small belt and standard webbing yoke (extra strap material cable-tied up) -Issue DPM hip-pad -2 * PLCE box magazine pouch -1 * Water bottle pouch -1 * Utility pouch Weapon: -A&K M249 Para, barrel heat shield removed -20 * Inert 5.56mm in disintegrating link

greywolf_ita
a pic from last sunday: the M14 in the pic is not mine ,i've an m4 the loadout: DPM Desert S95 Trousers UBACS DPM Desert DPM Desert Bush hat (not in the pic) Osprey body armour with: arm protectors sds dcu canteen pouch 2x osprey medical pouch osprey magazine panel (6 colt magazines) admin panel plce dpm resi pouch 2x proud sapi replica L i tried this loadout with the arm protectors, as the ubacs is not padded in the area around the pouches and this area is sensitive to contact with low branches when i run.
