Eddie182
Chest rigs very low? is that comfy for you? - its not the usual way to wear one <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Maybe he's trying to hide his gut?
stubbornbugger
I prefer it like that. And one should never be ashamed of ones gut.
ColDaz
How easy is it to get into the pouches when prone? Looks like it woul be pretty awkward.
stubbornbugger
same as if i was wearing a plate carrier or assault vest. Edited May 3, 2007 by stubbornbugger

maccrage
Nope. Lined combat trousers and smock. Some more modern ones. Edited May 3, 2007 by maccrage
Gadge
Nicley done macragge. Nice falklands era look Stubbornbugger - why not wear plce if you're going to wear a chest rig round your hips, it sort of defeats the point of having one Still if it works for you.
Eddie182
macragge, Without a doubt the best looking UK loadouts I've seen done by anyone across the pond. It's actually one of the best I've seen ever. Nicely done. You could do with a bungee or two around your PLCE pouches to pull them all together though.

ColDaz
Good loadout mate! Is it just me or does new webbing always look a bit odd untill it has faded somewhat?
Eddie182
Is it just me or does new webbing always look a bit odd untill it has faded somewhat? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nope not just you. Until it's covered in dried mud and stinking of smoke grenades it's just not the same imo. Just like my coveralls for work, new ones don't seem right until they are a bit faded and stink of aviation fuel. Edited May 3, 2007 by Eddie182
Lance Jackass
I must admit i wear my chest rig low. I asked one of the marshalls at my local site (ex royal marine) to help me adjust it and he said that they sit "just above the belt." I'm pretty sure its a marine thing, a i've seen it done often by them, whereas other regiments wear them higher.
darkchild130
you're right there, for some reason marines wear them around the stomach area. I have no idea why. Darkchild
Cyber Soldier
I never much liked the idea of carrying ammo on my front. You expose too much when you reload while prone. Have a friend who wears a chest rig and keeps getting shot in the shoulder when he reloads. Edited May 4, 2007 by Cyber Soldier
stubbornbugger
Maybe he should reload in cover then.
darkchild130
Maybe he should reload in cover then. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> QFT EDIT: oh yeah, invisible +1 for macragge's loadout Edited May 4, 2007 by darkchild130
lewis hiscock
a few more: me and joe in summer me and joe in winter me in the garden i have my l85a2 on order now more pics soon
Cyber Soldier
Maybe he should reload in cover then. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He does. A slight dip in the ground is cover when you're prone. The problem is the chest rig becase her has to raise his shoulder to reload. I have no trouble reloading when I'm in the same bit of cover becase my mags are stored on my flanks and I don't have to raise my shoulder to reload. Also must +1 for both macragge's loadouts. Now we need to se you up to your nipples in mud and soaked to the skin that'll be perfect for the part.
lewis hiscock
a couple more how do i get pics into my post that arnt thumbnails?
