He's called Stouffer (Harry Hill ftw), and I can't leave the poor sod alone. He's so cute I know a few people who have £1000+ cameras, and take their military aircraft photography very seriously. Well, I'm not one of these types, but I think this pic of 2 F15's taking off from RAF Lakenheath is pretty nice Sounded better though This is California... Norfolk. screaming_weasel should know where I mean. At a guess, the winds were 40-50mph that day An SR-71 (again). I let my girlfriend take this pic. By God she's pretty... and the missus is alright too A UAE 747 leaving Stansted. Apparently (we found out later) it's a private jet... A private 747. Not bad eh? My mate John's koi carp. It's hard to get them all in shot (you can see splodges of red and white in the background), but he has quite a few. It's a really deep pond, so they have room to hide. A few £1000's worth in there he reckons! Taken last Xmas obviously, a family in my town that likes to let it all hang out for Advent The house opposite has a friendly rivalry, so it looks like Blackpool down there at night. The Sony one on the left powers my old school Fisher tweeters and Dayton Audio 12" woofers, and the Aiwa receiver powers my mids and highs. It sounds great, as far as Im concerned. It can even wake up the neighbors (not that I do it a whole lot, I've only done it once and don't plan on doing it again, believe me!). EDIT - Oh, and I can't forget the AWESOME SoBe Adrenaline Rush. I've posted a similar pic before (in fairness, it was the same plane, same position, different year), and it was taken at the IWM Duxford (Google for info). This is my father in Afghanistan. He usually didn't carry his M4 unless he absolutely had too. He's an officer so he got to carry a pistol around all day instead. My uncle gave my dad orders to carry a rifle, so this pic was posed to make him happy. These are birds on a wire. And a Jaguar. Fun stuff eh. I must have had 100's of those promotions up in Hull then I move down here 18 months ago and it was on in every shop here too, in fact it's still bloody on down in Hampshire - I feel doomed to forever sip Castlemaine as they seem to have the longest nationwide booze promotion in history.... I was trying to promote a more environmentally friendly image and these are good generic shots of our farm in Awbridge, Hampshire: That colouful thing is an antique plough restored for display (like canal boat enthusiasts, agricultural reclaimers have a strange addiction to primary colours), it still ploughs though - we had to try it out, after all. screamin_weasel Posted October 25, 2005 Report Share Posted October 25, 2005 (edited) here are some sort of random pics. to be honest they are the only ones i have taken that aren't either airsoft, my motorbike, my guitars or my 'arty' photography. taken on a Classic Car Rally me and my mate done in his Mini Cooper 'S' (original, not the crappy modern 'midi'), it was a proper laugh (especially as we arent the smallest people in the world ). rather than just a normal 'drive to this place' rally, it was like a treasure hunt, where we had to collect clues and answer questions on the way to a place. see that sign on the right hand side of the road ? - we missed what it said, and we needed to know, so off i went, running in a silly way. and here i am coming back, now resplendant with the answer the concentration of my mate driving is amazing *looks at heavily blurred bushes * and a well deserved REAL ALE at the pub (the end point) Edited October 25, 2005 by screamin_weasel Link to post Share on other sites
