Shao14
I hear you, Sid. Always feel free to ask a mod about any decision he makes, and if we are convinced we made any errors, we'd be more than grateful to correct them. If a thread is closed, and you have a good argument for the topic in the discussion, mods will be very likely to add it in for you. In case anyone's wondering, we don't ban you for disagreeing with us as long as you have good arguments to support you views.
Hissing_Sid
Erm sid, £50 with mounts, that thread is at least a few weeks old as well.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> You misunderstand me. 10:36pm: Big Boy posts to say he can't fit his scope to his VRS10 10:51pm: Big Boy decides he's getting a different scope. It's not an hour. It's 15 minutes. This is the kind of bi-polar behaviour that wastes peoples time and wears out their patience on the forums. You're right that the other scope was up for sale before-hand. This would suggest that he's had 2 weeks to try to make it fit without success. Frankly, I'm only glad that nobody was stupid enough to buy this scope from him during that time. Direct question: Do you think "Fits most rifles and SMGs" is a fair description of that scope? Now, what do you think Big Boy would have done if he'd found a buyer for that scope in the mean-time and they'd complained that it wasn't fitted with 20mm rail maunts? Rob15
You misunderstand me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> My bad. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Indeed, and as you say, him offering much less for something that is worth a lot more Direct question: Do you think "Fits most rifles and SMGs" is a fair description of that scope? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Most certainly not, it won't fit a MP5 without adaptors, infact, what guns would it fit Now, what do you think Big Boy would have done if he'd found a buyer for that scope in the mean-time and they'd complained that it wasn't fitted with 20mm rail maunts? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Whine about it

Sledge
And we have a new winner for the "Spot the user most likely to be banned before they reach a second post award!" Hissing_Sid
Now, what do you think Big Boy would have done if he'd found a buyer for that scope in the mean-time and they'd complained that it wasn't fitted with 20mm rail maunts? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Whine about it <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Unlikely. I am pretty sure if Big Boy had sold that scope and the buyer said "Hey! these mounts don't fit my gun" then Big Boys response would have been "Odd. Fitted mine." Is that the sort of seller we want to allow in our forums?
seth
I don't mean this as a US-bashing thing, Drew, but maybe Americans coming onto a UK forum could think before they post? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Isn't this an international forum? Ghost_Rider
Anyone getting a negative rep that is clearly retaliatory, should report it to the mods. Just a quick PM saying 'I neg repped him for X, Y, And Z' reasons. Equally, if you believe you have neg-repped for a reason you don't understand or feel happy about, it might be worth PM-ing either the sender or a Mod for clarification. The neg rep system can be abused by petty dweebs, but then, so can anything like it.
Shao14
I think the rep system could be enforced a bit more, given the constant "retaliation neg repping" that goes on. For example, DarkLite. He has insulted me countless times with his ignorant, anti-American ranting when he hasn't even been to the States and knows nothing about how America is REALLY like, except from his porn movies. I see those who are offended by his ranting, American and non-Americans alike, neg repping him, only to find them neg-repped back in revenge. That's what kind of messes up the reputation system IMHO. *Waits for DarkLite to respond with retalitory, face-saving, nasty anti-US post* <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Please report any kind of possible rep point abuse, and a mod will look into it. You can't possibly expect us to look into everyone's rep point record everyday to make sure no one has abused it.
elrey
What he said.
Antagon
Thsi thread is stupid, you're stupid! Err yeah. If you get a bunch of neg reps from 1000 people because of ONE stupid comment, just talk to a mod/admin, they'll clean it up for you. Hell last person who f*cked with my rep got banned, ha!
Ghost_Rider
I actually got offered the choice of having my last neg rep removed, and chose to leave it up. Why? Because it's a number on the internet. Anyone who's worth listening to will know that it doesn't matter one jot. Although, Big Boy still deserves eveythng he got. If beano was going to cheat somebody (which I personally don't think he'd ever do, incidently), you'd think he'd do it over the price of one of his collection of cutom guns, not over thirty quid. boomboomairsoft
i have read of people getting rep points for having a 'cool' avatar. wth but i dont see what the big deal is. rep points do nothing in real life so why make it such a big deal. if someone wants to -/+ rep you they have the right to, but it can be taken up with the mods and cleared anyways... Maple-Leaf
Who else actually enjoys Depeche Mode and norwegian black metal? I don't know about any Norwegian Black Metal - Apoptygma Beserk probably don't count - but I'm a big DM fan. What about German synth, EBM, techno (like Bigod 20, Camouflage, etc.)?
